Applying for unemployment benefits can be complicated, so we put together these resources to help you navigate.
What is it called?
The Arkansas Division of Workforce Services (ADWS) runs the state’s Unemployment Insurance (UI) program.
Online
The fastest way to file a claim is online. UC Online accounts are used to file claims, access the Claimant Inbox, report wages, view correspondence, and more. Online filling can not be done on mobile phones.
Filing hours are 6AM - 6PM each day.
By Phone
For initial filing, UI hotline is available from 8AM - 3:30PM, Monday through Friday: 1-844-908-2178
After making your initial claim, you can use the automated system (ARKline) for weekly fillings: 1-501-907-2590
- Monday - Friday: 6AM - 6PM
- Sunday: 12:01AM - 6PM

Info you need to apply
To apply for unemployment, you need to provide personal information including
- Your Social Security Number
- Your mailing and physical address
- Your telephone number
- Your last employer's name and address
- You may need additional information in certain situations
- If you are not a U.S. citizen or national, alien registration number and expiration date
- Form DD-214 (Member 4 copy), if you served in the military in the last 18 months
- Form SF-50 or SF-8, if you are a federal civilian employee
- Name and number of your labor union if you find work through a union
- Your bank routing number and checking/savings account number, if Direct Deposit is desired
