If you cannot file online, you can apply by calling the Kansas Unemployment Contact Center.

- Wichita Area: 316-383-9947
- Toll–free number outside the local calling areas: 800-292-6333
- Toll-free Kansas Relay Center: 800-766-3777.
The automated phone system to file an application for unemployment is available
- Monday through Friday: 7AM - 7PM
- Saturday: 9AM - 7PM
You MUST file your unemployment claim by phone if:
- You worked in any other state than Kansas in the past 18 months
- You filed an unemployment claim with another state in the past 12 months
- You were in the military service or were a federal employee in the past 18 months
All other claims can be filed online.
