Hello JobCasers of Arkansas! Walk-Ins are welcome! We would love to have you join the Aramark Team!

Hello everyone! My name is Mari Elizabeth Walsh and I am frustrated. I am very willing to get to work. However, I live in a very rural area in Southeastern Arkansas and there is literally nothing around that would hire someone with my skills. I have five years of in the office experience with medical and psychiatric transcription. I design documents, spreadsheets, business cards, logos, etc. all using my circa 2006 laptop and Microsoft Office or Adobe. I am interested in virtual assisting, data entry, spreadsheet work, proofreading, actually anything at this moment. I am so frustrated and let down right now. I tried Freelancer and after all the effort I put into it, they wanted $5 per exam to help boost my chances of being hired. Any advice on what to do and where to look for work like I described? Thank you, in advance, for your time and help.

Six months ago I was working 2 jobs and had been for a while almost 2 and a half years straight at this point and I had to to keep up all my bills because one job just isn't enough anymore . So I was working at Burger King on airport Rd in hot springs Arkansas and I was happy there and a loyal employee but unknown to me the managers I thought to be my friends conspired against me .but I didn't find this out until just hours before I was terminated. It started on my last day at work the stores lobby drink station had been in disrepair for a few weeks at this point constantly leaking and had buckets for dripping that constantly had to be dumped but today the day that ends up being my last day a piece of the drink station falls off and hits a customer's foot I reported it to my manager right away and the area director comes in to inspect the situation and the shift manager has me go out to pour the buckets and mop the floor when I reach the lobby with the mop. the area director turns and looks at me and says your nothing but trouble because I always find you at the center of it . I played this off at first keeping my cool thinking he's just mad and having a bad day well later on my shift ends and I check with the shift manager to see if there is anything else that she needed me to do for her she said no that I could go after i checked the TP in the ladies room and I did that and she said I was good to go . I was glad because I was going to hang out with a friend who was a coworker waiting for me to get off work.(this part here I didn't find out until 2 days later). That very night The shift manager put on the schedule for the day that I walked out without finishing my work for the evening. The very next morning a regular customer of this store crushed one of the concrete trash can Bens outside in the parking lot with his or her vehicle and this prompted the district manager to come to inspect the property and damages and he saw what she had put on the previous day's paper work and had me terminated on the spot without any notice or notification or any official paperwork . I also didn't have any prior write ups for that offense and there should be a 3 strike rule shouldn't there? The next day I was scheduled to work I came in and found all this out mind you I came in uniform. Someone who walks out isn't going to show up for work in uniform on a scheduled time. I wasn't allowed to speak with the district manager.I tried to reach out to other managers in the store to share my experience and account of things and see if they would try to bat for me but they all ignored me or blocked me on Facebook and took her side Even managers I considered to be long term friends. And I wasn't a bad employee I was hard working and loyal I loved my job .sadly ever since this happened I have been unable to keep up all my bills I've had cold water for the last six months and my storage bills behind a few months and my electric bill is behind one month and lucky me I did have my secondary job and they have done what they could I used to just work 12 to 15 hours a week for them when they heard what happened they moved me up to 38 hours a week gradually as other employees came and went my hours increased but it's still not enough and I'm still looking for a second job and I haven't given up . But I would never recommend anyone to work for the burger Kings in this town they are family owned and operated and this is how they treat their most loyal

Sic months ago I was working 2 jobs and had been for 2 and a half years straight. I had to. One jobs just not enough anymore sadly . I still need a second job desperately bills are backing up on me . But six months ago the burger King here in town the shift manager whom I thought and considered to be a dear friend of mine was in fact talking about me behind my back and constantly complaining to the sinor managers about me even though I never did anything wrong with my work I only started to get a hint of this truth just hour before I was to lose my job due to the fact that the district manager came in to look at the drink station because a piece of it had fallen off and hit a customer's foot I was also told to go out there and mop up because the drink station was leaking and in poor disrepair and the district manager turned and looked at me and said to my face you seem to always be nothing but trouble because you seem to always be in the center of it . Well I let this go at first thinking it was just his temper because of a bad day but then at the end of the night I checked with my shift manager to see if there was anything else she wanted me to do because me and a friend were going to go she told me no I was good to go . But really she put on the schedule that I walked out without finishing my work .the next day a regular customer of that store crushed one of the concrete trash can Ben's in the parking lot in the early morning hours and the district manager came back again to inspect the property and damages and saw what the shift manager had put on the schedule of me walking out and had me terminated on the spot without a phone call or any form of notice and no prior write ups or even willing to hear my side of any story .it wasn't until the next day after when I was scheduled to come back in that I found out that I had been terminated . I tried to reach out to other managers that knew me and knew my history for the past couple of years that I figured would have my back and at least speak on my behalf . All of them ignored me or blocked me on Facebook or took the shift managers side . I have been unable to find a second job since what they did to me at Burger King on airport Rd in hot springs Arkansas but fortunately for me my secondary job that I only worked 15 hours a week at has pulled me in up to 38 hours a week now but it's still not enough to make all the bills and I'm living with cold water and our storage unit bill is a few months behind I still have not given up I'll keep searching
