How reliable are these work at home jobs. I just got a notification for one that I was hired. Are they real or a scam?

I'm applying for new jobs, and I get emails requesting to to register for Google Hangouts and adding specific people to a list so I can 'interview'... Is this the new norm? Or am I right in feeling it to be a bit sketchy?

I received an email for Warehouse associate by a gentleman, describing the position, receiving and shipping and also that It would be three days out of the week and he would pay me $500 before I start and that would be my salary weekly and that I would be the only one there. But it also said he doesn't live "yet" in the town I live in and that if I was interested to give my full information!! And when I take the position I wasn't going to meet with him either! That he would hand the keys to the warehouse to me some how!! And he even stated that he was very trusting towards anonymous people! Also that we would be in contact only over a cell phone and "SPEAKING" to each other! Out of curiosity I emailed him with out releasing any personal info just first name and my cell number. I politely asked him for his phone number, which he did!! So I called him he wouldn't answer then he replied I can only text. Then he text me send me your info!! Twice!! And we talk about the warehouse position later! (He replied) And i text him back politely wouldn't you like to hear the person that is going to work for you! He text back if your interested send me your info! I text him back what are "WE" gonna be receiving and shipping exactly and what's the company name? He replied ABT! Warehouse associate! But no description! I texted ABT? Stands for what!! So I called him again no answer!! He texted only text! I asked why?? He replied I'm Deaf!! And send me your info! Hhmmm of course I didn't text him back anymore but here is "HIS" name and number Elijah Francis (940)280-3331 please be careful with people like this! I Know I carried it along but I really wanted to see how far he would take it! He really covered every angle to manipulate a person to catch there interest! Especially when your looking for employment! Individual's like this is out to destroy people's lives! Shame on them!! Karma is a mofo!!

For you kind people who have been out of work for awhile beware of job scammers. I was a victim and it cost me huge. I would like to hear from any of you who have gone through the same thing.

Does anybody ever worked or know anything about a Company named GreenWorld Restoration?? Am trying to find reviews about it but nothing came up on Google!! I have an interview with them but it seems like nobody know them!!

I was suppose to an interview over the with a company called United Steel , home base for the company is in Hartford Connecticut, but they a office here in Dallas Tx. But they told me make an email account and the interview will be on goggle hangout!! The gentleman was very professional, but gave me all the details about the job . And he said these are positions etc . Customer Services, Administrative , Accountant and etc . And gave me a series of about 12 questions . I answered them all to best of my ability and he came back about 40 minutes later and said Steven Palard really liked you and he wants to welcome you aboard to company etc . But I goggled this man and he doesn't not work the company and it was all a scam yet again . Company called csg international , please be aware of scams

well im glad i got on this site because this lady name lisa did the same thing and then told me i got the job and be ready for interview tomorrow, and tomorrow can and then im on text with a chris and he was to be my supervisor, and so on, wow just amazing me how people trying to scam people

Has anyone heard of this company or been contacted by them? It's a work from home position that kinda seems to good to be true...I know, trust my instincts but just looking for feedback!

I have my resume on several career sites but got a call and several emails from a guy named Antonio Massa. He is from a travel agency and he said that he was wanting to hire me for a travel assistant and I tried to find his web site and everything is in Italian. He gave me a phone number goes straight to voice. I he even said he sent documents for me to sign but never got them. I did alot of searching because he said that the countries are Russia, Poland, Austria, Italy and a few more I can not remember. I sent him several emails asking for him to explain the job and the company he never gave me a straight answer so I am thinking this is a scam or something wierd. He stills drops an email and asks me if I recieved the documents.

I was interviewed for a position as a front desk receptionist when the interview was taking place via hangouts I was answering the questions asked in mid interview the hiring manager changed course and suddenly I was now already hired to do a work from home position. I accepted the offer and worked for the company (Motif Bio-pharmaceutical LTD) through a man named James Arison and a woman Named Jennifer Valley. While working for these individuals I dispatched payroll checks to various individuals and shipped these checks via FedEx. Well my paycheck date arrives and no one comes forth with my paycheck. And now I can not get a hold of anyone. Is there anything I can do. I have contacted the original person who put me in contact with the two individuals who opted to not pay me. But no one will respond to me.
