I took the test for Windows 7, found out that it was added because so many that were hired had tec and/or call center experience but no actual Windows experience except the very basic home use. So I took the test and waited for the results and today I finally reached a real person not a recording and was told that the manager was going to call me next week to give me my schedule but I probably will not start until after the holidays.. At this asked "so I guess I passed the test?" and was told basically "was there any doubt?" Well yea, I was not given the scores just like the 4 assessment test pre hire, all they would say was I did well, very well. I guess that is why they wanted me back. The bottom line is through all of this I never was negative or said anything that could be considered to be complaining about the company. It was hard, I had to check myself often and it paid off. I do not think they would have fought so hard to get me back if I did not keep a positive attitude the whole time, stating the positive reasons I wanted to return there to work. Even going so far as to take my notes from when I was in class to make the managers, myself and team leaders a pocket reference book from the spiral index cards that took time to do but showed that I cared about the team.
Moral, always be positive no matter how hard it is if you want positive results and try to find something to show that you are a team player even when it is difficult to do, it goes far, either in getting your position back or getting good references. Think long and hard before you act or speak, if your not sure wait a few hours or even days until you can be sure of what you need to say n a positive light.

Anyway to do well on these tests?

Hello everyone:
About a month ago, I applied for an opening for my dream job, and was shortly afterward asked to take a test, which I was told would last about two hours. (It did, mostly math and logic.) About two weeks later, I was asked to take a second test, this time about various ethics and honesty issues. Shortly after the second test, I was called for an interview, which I was told would take about two hours--the first hour of which was dedicated to retaking part of the first test (some of the questions were the exact same ones as on that first test). This interview happened last Monday, the fifth, and the interviewer seemed very comfortable with me. He told me that the last time they had an opening, about 500 people were given the same test I was, but only seven passed it. Finally, after a very pleasant interview, he said I should hear something by the end of the week.
As all of you probably guessed, the end of the week was Friday, and I have heard nothing either way. (Per current protocol, I did send two thank-you notes--one via e-mail, one handwritten.) Is it soon enough to assume I didn't get the position?
Any and all advice is welcome, as would be letting me know about any openings for an accountant, preferably in the greater Detroit area. Thank you.

I TRY TO GET A JOB AT WALMART, IN HAZLETON,PA I TRY MANY TIMES, I DO THE APPLY ,THEN THE QUESTIONS YOU ASK,THEN I DONT PASS THE TEST, THAT IS A JOKE, THAT DOESNT HELP THE PERSON THAT APPLED FOR THE JOB, I HAD A FEW INTERVIEWES TO. IT IS NOT FAIR TO ME, I WOULD LOVE TO WORK AT WALMART BUT YOU WILL NOT HIRE ME. THANK YOU

I just received a phone call from the agency that has the contract with the state and they finally have clearance from the state to hire me back. I have to take a test for Windows 7 but o not have to repeat the other 4 assessment test that I took and only have to do Windows 7 because it has been added on, I think it may have been added because some did not know it well enough to do the position. Anyhow once I pass it I will start to work soon after. I am going to have a great weekend and brush up on Windows 7 since I have not used it in years.

Recently, I applied for a software testing position through an agency. The interview went VERY well from my view as well as the feedback that the company gave to the agency. They also sent me an assessment to demonstrate my skills which I have been told is under review.
Nearly a business week has passed with no update from the client. They have not officially declined me but, at this point, have not even provided an update as to when they will make a decision.
I am a firm believer in playing the squeaky wheel as well as the adage that "If you can't win them over, wear them down." I won't breach agency by reaching out to the client directly.
My question is, as a general rule, how do you deal with the limbo stating of waiting for a status update? If I had a date range or a rejection, it would be easier to move on. How do those of you in the community handle this limbo state?

I was recently got told I was getting let go from a company here in tulsa ok called Ipacesetter which was tcim. They have training class now I could understand the test to teach u the packages serius sxm offers and they test u and if u fail u r let go. Now I passed that one but how is it they can fire u if u knew what u are selling and and learned the system even tjough they dont even give u training with it and also when they dont give u a chance on the phone to even try m ma ake a sell.

What’s up with all the testing on applications? I try to be honest and keep it real every time I have to take a test on an application but I never do well enough to qualify for the job. Should I lie or try to guess what these companies want to hear. Any tips on how can I pass more pre-employment application assessments?

I had to resign due to not passing the FL Teacher General Knowledge Exam. I took the exam twice, studied but still could not pass it. Since October, put in application after application. I had one interview in September and I have another Monday coming. My word out of all the applications I put in, no one noticed? I have bills and trying to get a job. All these degrees. Don't know what to do. This is depressing.

How can I get my results from my test I took at the hiring event
