I was born in 1973 and raised by my dad. His work ethics (a very hard worker) taught me how to work for success. I was 13 when I got my first paycheck. I made only $3.15 per hour and have worked very hard ever since only to stop when I got pregnant at the age of 36. Per my husband's request we agreed I would take time off to raise our daughter till a certain age. I recently have come back into the workforce and it is very different. I have always represented my job and my paycheck so I am not just there to make money although the money is the main reason. I have to like my job otherwise I won't waste either of our time. We are responsible for our atmosphere. . I noticed that a lot of companies are hiring those who have no respect for the company they work for. Fighting, baby momma drama at work etc., etc. It's a very different atmosphere for me these days. And don't get it wrong, it's not just the younger generation!

I've been a stay at home mom for 15 years and finding it difficult to re-enter the workforce. Any suggestions from similar situations?

Thanks

I gave birth to my son Jan 10th 2018. He was born with cmv which requires many doctor appointments. I'm debating whether or not to go back to work. Between childcare and appointments, it wouldn't be worth it. I also have a 9 year old and she has extracurricular activities and special needs. I would love to be able to work from home to make some extra money.

I have job gaps, I lost a job, pregnant, being a single mom to start off. Went back to work and started having child care trouble with the provider, child. At that point took my kids to work with me, later that became a problem. Now that my kids are old enough. I am too far from a city, transportation, place to stay is a factor to consider. So now I have to start all over with experience. This is not easy in my late 40s.
