I have been out of work for ten years, I started working part-time since I needed to get myself accustomed to working all over again. Most days I'm a bit tired after those few hours plus I have teenagers to deal with as well.

Hello Everyone My name is Saneada and I'm new to the group. I've been a stay at home mom for the 12 years and I was loving it until things started to get pretty bad between my ex husband and I. My finances are dwindling down to nothing and I have two amazing daughters ages 12 and 4 that I have to take care of. I'm desperately looking for a work from home job. I'm disable due to a work injury 17 years ago and I'm currently on SSI/SSD and as you can imagine taking care of two children along with other necessities can be very expensive. I would love to be able to go outside of my home to work but there are time when I cant get out of bed due to a back spasm that can last from several days to several weeks. I'm humbly asking anyone who has information as to where I can start to look I will be forever grateful. Oh, and I'm enrolled in the Ticket to Work Program through Social Security but its just not working fast enough for me. Thanks in advance.

I have a job interview this coming week which is awesome, but I am a single parent and the job’s hours are NOT flexible at all. I know I shouldn’t have even applied, but it’s a GREAT job and part of me didn’t think they would even be interested in me. Now what do I do?

I am a single mother and I’ve been out of work for awhile now. My money is gone and I'm getting ready to move back home with my mom at 30 something because I can't land a job. It sucks when you do all you're supposed as a job seeker and the end result is still NO job.
We all deserve the right to be employed in order to remain self sufficient, especially when we really want to work. However, it's hard when employers nitpick over every little thing and have ridiculous requirements that not even Superman can fulfill. All for peanuts in pay. I've seen too many job postings asking asking for all these degrees and requirements but only pay $10 and hour. That wage won't work with someone who is already mid career with kids, rent/mortgage, car payments, etc… Being a single parent is hard enough, I guess I need the job fairy to come down and sprinkle me with luck!! I am working my butt off over here!

When I had my first daughter, I could never have imagined I would one day accept a MacArthur “Genius” Grant. I was just 19, and looking at my newborn, I didn’t feel like a genius. I felt like this was going to be really tough. I was a black girl growing up with my own single mother in public housing in San Francisco, and, like the other women in my community, I knew I’d be working and raising the child on my own.

I've been job hunting for a while now but haven't found any work. I've been a stay at home mom for almost a year when my last job let me go because things want working out after I came back from burying my dad. I cant prove that that's why I was fired (my leave of absence with permission lasted a month), nor am I sure that's why I was fired. Problem is I set my own schedule, which i needed being that I have 2 children who are special needs, and my husband drives trucks (but being behind from me being gone put us in a bind). I need something that I can either set my own schedule (830a- 230/3p weekdays only) or that I can do at home on my computer ( I've done pest control, worked just about all positions within a restaurant setting, done kennel help within a vet, was in the military). I'm over qualified and under qualified for everything I can find or have put in for.

I have a problem. I have a degree in fine art and used to work as a graphic artist, designer, production artist etc. I also owned graphic design and printing service business in Brooklyn, NY. Well, that all was more than 15 years ago...my daughter was born, with my son following her just a year later. My.family and I closed the business, sold the building and moved to NJ. From that time on, I was stay at home mom. I also started to suffer from debilitating fibromyalgia, which prevented me from working. After many years and no help from the medical establishment, I have decided to study biology in an attempt to figure things on my own. I started my part time biology transfer studium eight years ago, and stayed in college for additional four years. At 2013, I had to stop and for lack of finances and the fibromyalgia, and unfortunately, I was never able to transfer to a different college and finish my degree. I established my home based business in 2014, and make and sell hand-made soap and cosmetics. I still owe the business, but the sales are mainlyou seasonal and the income from it is not sufficient for me and my family. I would like to find a part time/full time job as a front desk person/receptionist...preferably medical or dental office. Also I wish to find the job somewhere close to where I live. My health condition limits me in what I can do and I cannot travel for a job too far or be overly physically active on the job, because it totally drains my energy. I would prefer not to mention this to my perspective employer, but this is the main reason, why I am looking for a job out of my profession and experience. I speak fluently in English and Czech language with a slight eastern European accent and with little practice I would be able to completely understand and later to return to fluently speaking in Russian and Slovak. And yes, I am an American citizen. My question is, how, with all my information and experience all over the place, I should write a resume for the job, that I am seeking. Any advice on this matter will be greatly appreciated. Thank you all.

Hello everyone I am a stay at home mom and would love to know what companies out there allow you to work from home.

I've been a house wife for two years now. Before that I had my first job at the age of 16. The only time I stop working was to deliver my kids. This last time. I took time off to be with my 5 year old he would be my last kid have worked all my life I wanted time with this one. I'm ready to get back to work but the big gap between jobs is making things hard. Maybe it's that I am not doing this online application correct. It was different when you went in in person
