don't work for gerritys , as a baker. they don't know how to treat people you are just a number. the bakery supervisor is not nice. i did 21 years for them and they just fired me. they gave me 90 days to get faster, or bye bye.21 years i did the same things over and over, all of sudden i'm not fast enough.personally i think they just did not want to give me my 4 weeks vacation pay anymore.

I Applied for a baker job at Make My Cake in Harlem, N.Y. last month but didn't get the job. I just knew anyway just by the way that they never gave me the chance to do the trial basis. The bs reason was that the person who was supposed to train me didn't show. Plus I wasted over 3 hours all for nothing and could've gone to another job screening the same day. The owner of the bakery said that he would come but isn't sure when. Not only is this unfair & wrong but is disrespectful at best. I finally walked up to the counter to ask what is the problem and was told that he was unable to come. So I asked when can I reschedule for another date for the trial basis again by one of the counter workerd and was told that the owner will email me back but never got back to me. I even emailed her back as well just to keep in touch to no avail! If you didn't want to hire me in the first place just say it to my face instead of having me come in for an interview, come in 20 minutes earlier for the trial basis & had me wait for over 3 hours that never happened, and didn't follow up on the promise of an email to invite me back with no response. Since I have over 17 years experience working in the baking industry as a Baker there's no reason why I can't get a job anywhere! Plus I'm still looking for a job ever since I lost my job in November when the store went out of business. For now I'm on unemployment benefits for now and is looking forward to trying something new as maybe a cook or caterer since I love to cook and bake. Thanks for reading.

Will you be hiring for the bakery in the near future at the Cranberry Costco?
