I was collecting unemployment of maximum $450 per week and was offered school and decided to do this while I waited patiently for working opportunity and then I found work but not for an employer. I worked on a few projects such as a balcony rebuild and a patio cover and a shower/tub tile project and refused to abuse the system and continue to collect unemployment while I worked on these jobs. I also continued to go to school and have been successful and am only a few weeks away from completing my school. I have also signed up and enrolled in another private school that stafts tomorrow and will continue until the end of August to become certified for reinforced concrete special inspector.
I have a few leads for more work but nothing currently at the moment and I'm negative in my account. I don't want to give up looking for work and don't want to abuse the privilege of unemployment wages. I believe in myself and am waiting for application for to revitalize my license that expired yet am looking for work as a Journeyman Carpenter that will pay me enough to survive these times of concerns. I need help and am reaching out for suggestions please. Thank you! Todd

Went through the apprenticeship and spent about 21 years working through the Union! Now I’m retired and at 65 not quite ready to quit working! Tired of being a carpenter what something not to strenuous but something to keep me busy! I think I’d like something like a courier job where I just drive and deliver! Thanks for your time!
