Im thinking about getting my cdl or should I invest in HotShot driving ?? ( all opinions welcomed)

This is what I am thinking about. I am 56. I am a service Technician with the Transit District. I have 15 1/2 years. My job requires a CDL. I figure I can pass the physical another four years and get my twenty. But full retirement for me is 67 . I need to bridge the gap with something easier on my body. ?????

All my life I've wanted to be a semi truck driver, but the truth is I don't know how to drive a manual transmission and I don't want to drive the new automatic transmission trucks (cuz to me that's just not a semi but an oversized pickup truck).
But as life goes on I'm now a single mother of 2 young kid's and just want to give them both the life they deserve.
Yes I'm still wanting to drive but also need to be able to be home every night and able be to have the time off if and when it's needed the most. I'm willing to learn how to drive the manual, but don't have the money to go to a CDL training school, and it seems like every truck company that offers training would be putting me through training and the I'd have to go do OTR (over the road) which is what I can't do with me having the younger kid's at home.
Please help any advise is greatly appreciated. Email me anything you think is helpful

I went through the interviews did all the jumping through hoops got my class A CDL all I needed to do was pay the. DoT$12 for a chauffeur's passenger endorsement and Workforce cut off my benefits because they sent the mail to the wrong address and blamed me for not making an appointment that I didn't even know about because they sent the mail to the wrong address. Because they cut off my benefits for 15 days I had to tell all employers I applied at that I could not make interviews second interviews third interviews and they had to put me at the end of their list. I thought Workforce was supposed to help you get a job they did nothing but hinder me, talk about pissed off!!!

Hey anyone know about getting job with suboxone script or cdl

Currently have my B. Do you suggest a driving school or signing on with a company that provides training?

I’m a single mother of two. I have a class B CDL license and I am currently driving a school bus. However, I cannot support my family on this I would definitely love to get a job with the local Pepsi distributor. I have also worked at factories in the past and did very well. The area I live in just does not offer competitive wages and I desperately need a job that pays well. Not trying to be rich just want to be able to support my family. My husband lost his life in the service and iours has not been the same since. I feel like a failure I desperately need help. I have management experience as well. I owned and operated a day care / preschool for 13 years prior to his death. I could imagine a job with UPS, Pepsi, etc. only because they are both close to me and good companies to work for. What can I do??? I live in Batesville IN

What can you offer me as an experienced CDL A, professional driver ?
