After almost 6 years of "being in the Beauty industry" and not having even the chance to get my license, I officially feel trapped. No matter how many jobs I apply to or how many resumes I put out, I never get a call back or even an email. And I think it has something to do with fact that I only know hair. Ice never really had a REAL job before.....and I just made 25. I feel embarrassed to even say this! I got turned down by Amazon for the 5th time and now I think I'm just done altogether. I need some sort of income of I'm ever going to go back to school.

I recently moved from Florida to California due to deaths of both my husband and Mom. I am finding it very strange that in order to become a caretaker for older people (been one for 10 yrs with no pay), that one must have a license for that and pay for it themselves, and also a TB test If I had the money for this, I wouldn't need a job. I also applied for a babysitting job and found out I must be trained in CPR, as well as pay for my own background check, as well as another type of check. Why are there so many obstacles to obtaining a simple job in this state? Don't get me wrong, it is beautiful here, and I love it, but if I don't get a job soon I'll have to leave and I don't want to be forced to do that because I love this beautiful state.

I currently work as a geek squad agent but most of the job duties I have expericed amount to nothing to obtain a job in the enterprise world. Part time I work with a company that is the uber to the IT field which also doesn't provide a lot of enterprise experience. I know that IT certifications are key but once u obtain them what is the guarantee that u will obtain a job in the field. Anyone got any suggestions?

Are you required to be certified, or is there training available for someone with experience taking care of loved ones?

My friend earned a JD last year, has 2 BAs, and is still pursuing the bar. He needs to work, but keeps getting denials with the overqualified narrative, commenting on in his impressive credentials. No doubt prospective employers are concerned about retention risks, even though he assures them of HS commitment. How does he overcome this for Analyst/policy/legislative jobs he's applying for? It's so frustrating. Suggestions?

I accepted a job based on false job description, work load much greater than states. When I attempted to "work" as hard as expected i made an error and was suspended, then "allowed to resign" Nursing in FL sucks from the pay to the workj.

Back to work mom now for over a year trying to find a full time job in the service or retail industry with no luck. I would be very interested in this job if you are willing to provide training. I'm a fast learner, ambitious, and available for full time employment. How can I book an interview appointment?
