Stand up for yourself & don't let people walk all over you. I know I did the best I could do & was complimented many times on the meals that I did make for the private patrons & guest. When something isn't going right stop right then & there & make it a point to talk with management asap. They would have a greater knowledge of what kind of kitchen manager was doing & what she wasn't doing so that would have made your job a lot easier to do instead of you doing triple duty.

When the kitchen manager would say how she dislike management to your face then did a turn around when they would drop in once in awhile in the kitchen. I felt very sad that she treated me on the end of the season with hardly no respect. I stayed up till 1:30 am to put fruit platters, veggie platters, relish platters, baked beans, etc. that goes along for a end of the season party for nearly 100 people & not say that everything looked super great.... She could have at least said nice job. I thought then that was were her true colors really came out. I have no idea what she could have told management but I felt betrayed & hurt that I did her work so many times and she treated me like she did.

Please give me advice on how to be better in my career

I worked @ a private school, I was one of the chefs there! I never was told or had to answer to anyone! I did a good portion of cooking, made sauces and such! When I first started I was never “properly “ introduced.so I felt I had to make myself known throug the food that I had to prepare. From soups, crafted desserts, entrees & innovative salads that made all pallets happy! I feel some people had a problem with my work ethic because I actually gave a damn about food safety and making exceptional food! Weeks before school ended, now all of a sudden these complaints come out, people started being & acting childish & I’m the one being accused of harassing people! How, I question! Lazy people wanted others to do their job by addressing issues they had with other workers! So I apply for UB & I get denied because these people created all these bogus allegations.....went through a hearing & awaiting another! I have no witnesses because these adolescents are too busy being followers and not leaders and doing the right thing! I have to discredit them, I took notes, wrote dates of incidents down & have recordings also! I’d just like the money owed to me, I’d never want to tie my name to such an unprofessional company! What can I do to get the money owed and be about my merry way?
