I'm a chef in Miami, incredibly versatile and having the hardest time looking for a job. Part of me feels like I can't get a job due to my travels and the other part is potential employers think my resume is fabricated. Anyone else feel the same?

I have been jobless over month now. I tough wiil find job quicker than that. I have 23 years experience . I love what I do. They want to pay me 10-11 dollars hour. (I was making 17$) what can I do? I started regretting quiting my job.(almost)this is crazy.
