Hello , I have been working in the logistics aspect of warehousing for almost 30 years. I have most recently been doing shipping and receiving. I have currently been at my job for a little less than 2 years. The company I am now working for won the contract for the distribution of Mopar service parts around the world. I was employed by Ceva logistics for the previous 7 years doing the receiving process. Unfortunately they ( Ceva ) lost the contract to Syncreon. It has been almost 2 years with this company and not sure if they will be awarded the contract next June. I have a hi-lo license as well.I am looking to go to a company that perhaps I can better my career with. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Thank you

Do not give up on searching for a job. I have been a File Clerk for 10 months, the first time I applied for the same position which did not go thorough, but this time it went thorough.

Just remember that this was over 15 years ago. I liked the actual job for the most part, not hard at all, but other employees, especially the higher ups, expected you to be a kiss ass. If you were not, then you would not get the promotions you may deserve. I left after 10 years, because the stress of this was getting to me. I took a fair amount of sick days because of my aging mother who watched my two young children, and was not always able to do so. I was reprimanded for this. Another aspect of the job I did not like was that you were only paid once a month.

I applied for a shipping and receiving clerk position through staffing agency. I had a phone interview with one of the three names I received from the recruiter and we hit right and suggest that I might have to go to Tarrytown NY for a interview with the other bosses. So I get a in person interview with the Troy, NY site. I get there and met with the person and he started telling me that you are installing software and hardware for pc. So I tell him interview is over and, he's says you can't do that. I am like watch me. I had no clue this job description had changed from shipping and receiving clerk position to software engineer with out being told prior. MAGMA or NOn Magma's!!!!!!!!!!!;;;

I work at Meijer store lafayette in food clerk position. I'm half-time associate but have been scheduled for fulltime recently. When I asked for the reason, My manager told me they are having a hard time hiring people. He said they hired 8 people for the cashier position and no one showed up after that. In the previous batch of hiring for produce department, I have noticed that they cannot retain anybody aside from transfer associates from other departments. There were times, when they hire a batch of newbie only half retain, other don't even show up on the first day. The responsibilities are by no means difficult to follow. Paid raid is also around 10 bucks. What people are doing out there? Is it too easy to find a job these days? I'm a little bit puzzling with their behavior. Especially, every day I came back from my job, not too far from the store entrance, I always see a guy holding sign said " jobless, spare some money to me. God bless you."
