I have been looking for work and going on interviews for about a month now. I did get hired at the comfort inn rock garden. I worked 2 days in the laundry room for about 7.5 hours a day and I had to resign due to my mother being very ill. I sent in my smock with a letter explaining my immediate resignation and they still havent paied me. I'm so tired of being judged at interviews and feeling like I'm auditioning for a part in a picture. I'm looking at going back to school for customer service. I didnt put a pic of myself because I'm not very photogenic. Good luck to all in your new endevours. I wish you all well.

I loved everything about my job. I loved making the guests happy. Alot of the guests are regulars . so u know them after awhile. You know there specifics likes and dislikes and there's nothing better than them feeling like there at there home away from home when they check in.

NOT the place to work, front desk staff is amazing and so is Beth the G.M. but the housekeeping department is a joke! Joe the housekeeping manager is very disrespectful towards the staff, he's lazy, he will pawn all of his work off on the employees and then take credit. There's no organization, if you don't want to complete your work you don't have to, there's no consequences... They charge top dollar for rooms that are only minimum effort at Best. The new head housekeeper has never done housekeeping before and has no clue, wasn't a good housekeeper, there's been issues with not changing dirty sheets, girls just remaking beds, the dirty lien from rooms sits on carts it in cart rooms wet and nasty for days on end, til it's all piled up and not a single thing on shelf. Girls don't clean bathrooms or showers and it seems to be OK. I've been in the hotel industry for over 20yrs I've never seen anything like this....

I had an interview the other day, although it was short, I thought it went well. They said they had some more interviews to do still and would get back to me by today. Still haven't heard anything, now I'm thinking I'm not getting the job. :(
