We have different areas of the organization that is needing assistance doing creative and fun things to help promote, design and express everything that we are about and trying to do with not only as a New Organization but as well as new Talk Show and kick starting an out reach program

Good people trying to make a difference! Was not there as long as I planned but that is often the nature of small consulting firms.

I was recently let go from a position for being "too slow" physically. The whole reason I got into accounting was so that my physical and learning disabilities wouldn't hinder my job performance so much. However, I have found them to be just as much of a problem as an accountant. I've talked to some friends/business owners in the area who seem to think there is a demand for a CPA to open up a tax preparation/consulting firm in a small town about 15 miles from me. I've already started researching the area and putting together a business plan. I like the idea of being my own boss and working at my own pace. I've been an accountant for around 5 years and just getting ready to finish up my CPA. Does this seem like a good idea or am I in for a lot of disappointment? Thank you.

I have a BS in History and a MS in Organizational Leadership. In the past 4 yrs I have worked(3) as a financial analyst and (1) in financial services. I have a limited securities license, Series 6. I am not getting past jobs that require a BS in any financial discipline. In addition, due to my advanced degree field and work as an analyst, it has been suggested to me to look at entry level consulting jobs at smaller firms. Any thoughts? Thank you.
