Ok so this is my situation, ive got an opportunity to become an officer for a casino and the pay is good, perks are there and the staff has been reviewed as very warming and helpful to new employees. Then i have an opportunity at this very same time to work for a private contractor who does orchard preparation and Development , and he likes my work ethic because ive done side work for him. The casino is a maybe, but the contractor is a for sure with raises and good pay too. What do i do?

My last job in government contracting was back in 2010. I lost my CPA certification, went on unemployment until 2012. My mother at 81 died of COPD because she was a big tobacco smoker, had to sell her house and move into a condo for a third of the value of the old home. I am fear what will happen by 2020 with automation and robotics. Jobs are going to continue to disappear with companies like Amamzon at work. Food prices will skyrocket, and the only thing that will be affordable will be gas if not replaced with electric cars sooner than we think. But we need to think big and develop ways to make electricity without burning coal or relying too much on nuclear like France or Japan. Eastern Europe got burned with Chernobyl. We cant let that happen again.

My spouse job closed down and she is looking for steady employment. I am seeking part-time work as a contractor. I feel I should be doing more and hours are being wasted.

It no longer exist. It was taken over by another company. My job was eliminated under a government contract.

Are they hiring contractors to pull Amazon prime trailers and others. I own trucks and would like to move their trailers throughout the metro or regional.

Worst company ever ! First off nobody knows a damn thing they are doing then the lady tried calling the workers names and saying we were to old to be working ! Really !

I truly appreciate the respect shown to their contract workers.....always honest and truthful about all aspects of working remotely via contracts. Highly recommend this Staffing Company!

I was a contracting PM who worked in an employer/ client model. If the client has work, the employer would keep me. Late last year, the client decided to end the contract because I had to go on maternity leave. This also resulted into the end of my employment with my employer (running W2).
I have just started to look out for new opportunities last month but haven't been able to find one so far. Do I qualify for unemployment benefits or the maternity leave (for lack of better terms) would prevent me from claiming one. Note that it has been over 7 months now and I am completely ready to go back to work and being a contractor I did not have any maternity benefits such as leave etc. If I can claim for unemployment benefits how far back can I go? Let me know your thoughts

Various persons from LanceSoft Inc contacted me regarding positions at various locations in my area. They were all temporary contracts for roughly 7 months. I just found it strange that so many persons contacted me regarding open positions at once. When I returned the call the person over the phone prior to any job offer was asking for my Social Security number and other personal verification information. Can anyone here say if they have ever dealt with this company located in Herndon, VA 20171 and if they are legitimate or a job scam?
