Hi everyone. I have received my bachelors degree and am working on my Masters in Psychology and Addiction Counseling. I am looking for a Clinical Counseling Supervisor (CCS) to sign off on me so that I can apply for my CIT ( Counselor in Training). I am working towards becoming a Licensed Addiction Counselor and these hours will really help towards the clinical hours that I need. I would appreciate any suggestions that you can give me Thanks

Hi Everyone! My family has recently relocated to the Nashville, TN area and I am looking at a career change. I have an MA in Christian Counseling from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC and am interested in entering into some type of career counseling, administering psychological and career assessments. I am open to working inside or outside of the church - just really want to help make a difference in someone's life. I am not licensed, but I have passed the national MFT exam. Most career counseling positions that I have come across are geared more towards admissions representatives in a college setting, generating employer leads for students and that sort of assistance. Does anyone have any advice on locating employers/companies/agencies that might offer this kind of work? I have a bit of a mixed background, so if it's helpful my LinkedIn profile has past employment as well as practicums (under education). http://linkedin.com/in/tinaelong. Thanks for reading! I look forward to everyone's responses. #christian #counseling #careerassessment #psychologicalassessments #careercounseling #counseling

I totaly agree with what is going on with age discrimination. I am 68 with allot of job experience not including college for 3 years working towards a degree in counseling. I want to help people with the issues we encounter with drug and alcohol abuse. I have helped many people to live a better quality of life and that is all I want to do for the rest of m life. I am going back to college to complete my associates degree at 68. Gerald D. Nelson Kingman, AZ.

I have am Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor Trainee I would also like to gain work experience in order to obtain Credentialed Prevention Specialists certification as a means to increase the likelihood of employment through acquired qualifications. looking ahead, another option is to become a certified teacher/instructor for the NYS Office or Alcoholism and Substance Abuse. Any one of these three fields are doable and have the potential for employment.

I’m looking into what possible #careers I can invest into as a #felon. My options are obviously limited, but I need to find something. I was thinking into picking up a #trades in the #constructionindustry or maybe something to do with substance abuse #counseling. I’m hoping my record will be expunged within the next five years but until then I need to find something to support myself. Any insight into my options would be greatly appreciated.
