Im 20 years of age and I'm beginning to realize how important credit and those things of nature are. I just don't know how to go about actually getting myself a credit card so i can start building my credit. Im willing to learn ANYTHING as long as I can gain something from it. I am also looking for work. Im very hands on; i've worked fast food in my younger days, warehouse, and also construction. I've worked beside an uncle of mine doing HVAC work and electrician work as well. To sum all of this up, I'm very eager to work and begin this chapter of adulthood. Comments accepted.

Is bad credit preventing me from getting a job?? I lost my income in December 2015 the only payment that I am struggling with is my mortgage and I am behind. What do I do??? Bad credit and being an older worker do not mix well. Am I the only one in this predicament???

Are there any bad credit applicant friendly industries? I finalized a divorce that ended up destroying me financially. I’m trying to get back into management but I am unable to make it past the credit check part of the application process. Missed out on 2 good job opportunities already. I thinking about a career change into another field as long as they are willing to overlook my bad credit score. My goal is to get eventually get back into management once I get my credit fixed. Any industry or company recommendations I should look into?

Why would my credit rating have anything to do with if I get hired or not? I'm not applying for a loan, just a job!!! I think this is a little illegal, or am I wrong?

My credit is messed up because Im underpaid being in law enforcement. I have no benefits to retired too. I love speaking and many times I go out and do movitional speaking for churches and other organization. I just need someone to give me a chance to prove myself.
