Hi Ruby: That's a good question - a lot of employers might not be hiring 14-year-olds, as state laws might prohibit them from doing so. If you're really intent on working, I suggest starting with retailers for teens, restaurants, movie theaters, and grocery stores. Other than that, use your free time for school - getting your best education possible is the ultimate way to help out your family.

Hi Ambrose, sorry you're having a tough time getting hired. Do you know if you're not getting hired specifically because of your felonies? Or have you just not heard anything back? I would suggest following up with every application you send out by calling or visiting the employer. Make sure to do your follow up within two to three days of applying.

Hi Tony: They sure do! I took a look at your profile, and I think you'd really fit in at a warehouse for a first shift position. Here are all the employers who are hiring for exactly that: http://tinyurl.com/daytimewarehousejobs If you see something that looks interesting, just click the job title and follow the instructions to apply. Best of luck!
