I got hired for a job working for a local govt agency. The county itself has a 6 month probation period that allows the agency to fire you if they don't think you are a good fit or any other reason without the opportunity for you to appeal. Well in my third month my employer decided to change my training to include more components but they will not start training me for this until after my probationary period should end in April. They say that I am doing a great job but want to reserve the right to replace me until I finish some data entry stuff. I don't find this fair. They already fired one person last week out of the blue. She was trying to appeal. I know for a fact that two positions are probably going to be eliminated due to a conversation I walked in in the break room in December between my bosses. So far they have not reposted the fired employees position. What do you guys think I should do? I know from several people that I am doing a great job. But the documents I signed was worded like they were extending my probationary period due to performance issues. If I didn't sign today I would have been fired . I am a military spouse so my job history is long and the thought of starting another job is not ideal.

I applied for a job but the employer told me she felt I had too much experience after reviewing my resume. As a result she noted in the company data base that I should not be hired by their company, So even though I applied at a different location with the same company the other manager said she would not hire based on what based on what the other manager had placed in my file. She said they were looking for long term employee and she felt I would be a short term employee. So they will not hire me as a result of that. Is that legal?
Does anyone know of any decent work from home jobs for a 38 year old stay at home mom of a toddler? I need something data entry, copy and paste etc related preferably. I have experience in customer service but can't do the required quiet environment. I have a desktop, iPad, Iphone, Android tablet and phone I can use. Plus headset if need be.
