D shift Opening Friday - Sunday 5:30pm to 5:00am (3days 12hours)
JOB SUMMARY
Assesses supervisor and non-exempt associate training and developmental needs. Develops required training in partnership with Home Office Learning and Development and D/C Training Manager. Implements and evaluates Distribution Center training programs for D/C Supervisors and non-exempt associates. Follows up on training provided and evaluates results for effectiveness.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivers, monitors, coaches and guides technical and non-technical training for Distribution Center Supervisors and non-exempt associates. Provides coaching, facilitates discussions and makes recommendations for non-exempt associates’ and D/C Supervisors’ developmental needs. Assesses training and developmental needs. Makes recommendations on training strategies for associates. Conducts training sessions and orientations. Consults with coach trainers, D/C Supervisors and associates on the floor to follow up on operational issues, such as work methods, productivity and new hire follow-up. Administers safety training for the Distribution Center to maintain safety programs that meet OSHA and Company guidelines. Ensures all D/C Supervisor and non-exempt associate training programs are conducted on a timely basis. Provides follow up to maintain quality and consistency to the training process. Partners with Home Office Learning and Development to modify, design and develop training programs and materials. Consults with coach trainers, D/C Supervisors and associates on the floor to follow up on operational issues, such as work methods, productivity and new hire follow-up. REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience Strong knowledge and skill in training techniques Knowledge of DC operations and procedures preferred Good presentation and communications skills Knowledge of needs analysis, design, implementation and evaluation skills. 1 year training experience and/or 2+ years Distribution Center Supervisor experience. Home Goods Distribution Center, Lordstown, OH
Responsible for: •Maintains the safe, efficient and proper operations of a variety of the distribution center equipment and systems. •Troubleshooting and repair of any / all equipment related to operations and facility maintenance, i.e. conveyor systems, MHE, HVAC systems, air compressors, dock equipment, plumbing fixtures, etc. •Constructs, installs repair and maintains equipment. •Independently and as directed, completes tests, inspections, troubleshooting and repairs. •Reads and understands basic blueprints. •Basic understanding of carpentry and mechanics (including hydraulics and pneumatics). •Completes and maintains maintenance related logs, documentation related to maintenance actions, parts usage, etc. •Performs light fabrication as needed. •Other duties as assigned.
Requirements: •Minimum of three years’ experience in a maintenance environment with demonstrated knowledge and aptitude. •Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and welding. •Effective and clear verbal and written communication skills. •Familiar with OSHA / NFPA standards. •Must be able to operate all shop equipment and hand tools. •Maintains safe work practices at all times to include wearing of PPE, using LOTO and following ARC Flash requirements. •Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs constantly and up to 75 lbs as needed. •Must be comfortable working heights as needed. •Ability to stand the duration of shift and work in outside climates. •Ability to work in a team environment •Initiative to take on tasks above and beyond their role

Requirements: •1-2 years of high-volume customer service or office-related work experience •Demonstrated ability to perform mathematic functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) •Attention to detail •Experience with Payroll in an HR Department preferred •Excellent organizational skills, written and verbal communication •Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle complex situations with professionalism •Ability to multitask and work effectively in rapidly changing environment •Strong PC skills a must •Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Seal boxes for shipping when packing completed. • Remove or sort merchandise by style, store order or other criteria. • Manual material handling of objects such as totes, boxes, garments or other items up to 50lbs and frequently over 65lbs.
