“Looking at my desk full of fantastic applications is like looking into a box full of puppies, you wish you could keep them all. Unfortunately, this is not the case. I’m sorry to tell you that your experience and skill set are just not the perfect match we are looking for to fill this position. I have no doubt that there are many companies that will be thrilled to hear from a talented candidate like you. DON’T stop looking just because we said no. You have great skills that someone else WILL want and need, I promise. I wish you all the best (and I truly mean it). Keep going.
Best regards, Linda
Even tho I was rejected, it actually made me feel better.

You have so much to offer! When you feel like saying "I give up," don't! Giving up is over rated, trust me. It's for those that say "I can't" or "won't" and YOU are not that person. You are strong and can do anything!! Keep working hard, keep looking, keep at it. If you need help, you have friends here. If you think you are alone, you're not. We have ALL been where you are right now at this very instant, so do not feel bad about that or for yourself. Pick yourself up and push forward. Keep moving and never look back. Always be sure to keep going forward to the next great thing coming your way, or you might miss it. Stay strong and never, ever give up.

Life is so HARD, but you CAN get through this. Take this as a sign that you need to pick yourself up and keep going! Whether you were fired, quit, were laid off, or had to leave your past job you can begin again. We all have our stories and our tough times, but remember this...it's how we rise when we fall that matters. Focus on the NOW and never quit!! I am looking for work myself too (have an interview this week, woo hoo!) and it's so frustrating and tough that somedays I want to scream, but then I remember that I CAN do this, and so can you. Thanks for listening.

I want to encourage older persons DO NET give up. I was unemployed for 3 months and lost heart on more than one occasion. I picked myself up, dusted off and went to the next interview as if I was still employed, yes, I had to answer why I wasn't, and why I was terminated (didn't know enough about circuit boards and cables). I persevered and I got the job, with a $5K raise. I am 57, so believe in yourself and show why you are the better choice. I had a phone interview and they brought me in for a face to face with the COO and I had the job.

YOU are strong...YOU are powerful....YOU can do anything!!!

So awhile back I had a HELL of a day. I had an interview, but on the way the car just up and died. NO one would give me a jump so I just left the car there and started running. On the way it literally starts to POUR buckets out of NO where. I mean come on?!!! Then a car pulls over and asks if I need a ride. Now normally I would have said no way because I am ALL SET with hitch hiking, but I was desperate and needed to make up the time. This kind person drops me off and tells me he also works in this building which I see now is gigantic. I thank the person and in a rush forget to grab his name. So I arrive to the interview late, soaked, and I realized I left my resume in my car. Awesome.
I tell the receptionist what happened, but she tells me that the hiring manager has left for lunch and will return shortly and that he may still see me but she isn’t sure. I wait. I wait. I wait some more. Then a group of people walk in and the receptionist a few seconds later motions for me to go down the hall. My shoes are still soaked despite my best efforts and now make a swish/swash sound as I walk...you know the one. I felt so stupid! I knock on the door and I hear come on in. I step inside and I am FACED to FACED with the man who gave me a ride. He smiles and says he knows now why I was late. We both laugh because sometimes life is just so weird!
He told me he normally never would have believed my story about the car breaking down had he not seen it with his own eyes. I knew this kind person would make an amazing boss and he has been. Not many people would pick up a stranger in need. So don’t lose heart guys because as my mom always says, “It’s always darkest before the dawn.” I am sorry, but bad things WILL happen to you, but it’s how you overcome them that matters. Life is not easy right? I see a lot of negativity here, but don’t let those people stop you. Be awesome, don’t quit! If I had given up that day I wouldn’t have a job.

2017 has been a tough year for me losing my spouse to diabetes, losing my job and almost losing my house . My struggles is what made me stronger, I definitely wanted to give up I was truly devastated all these things we're happening to me, and I didn't know what I did to deserve this. I cried a many nights because I felt my world was coming apart. An all the people that said they would stand by me, wouldn't even call me when the tough got going they got little fast ! All I could hear is God saying, I didn't bring you this far to abandon you Steven these trials and tribulations you're going thru are just a test of your faith. And at that moment I felt some comfort, in knowing that this too will pass and just maybe I'll be able to piece together my life again. And I did with God's help I was able to find a job, get back on track with my bills and find some peace with the the Lost of my spouse, I've been thru the fire but I made it out unscathed, thanks to my faith in God that why I will never give up on you all I know that life can seem hopeless sometimes but God wants us to never stop trying or give up on your dreams.
