I had a nervous anxiety attack and brought it to the work place where I should have just said that I’m having a problem getting my anxiety in control to see if I could try the following day instead of just walking out during a shift which was unlike me out of character

Not being responsible enough,, but I will say it's a grate company and they get the job done no doubt about that...

I am in a slump I have completed so many apps that I have become discouraged and disappointed. The fact of the matter is I enjoy working but I don’t want to go back to driving. I have the opportunity to work in a law firm but not certain about that cause I am not a go get this n grab my lunch type of girl.

It is difficult for a woman to get a business up and running. Well for me it seems impossible. I'm 47, going through a nasty divorce and trying to improve my credit score. My driving record is great. I'm an attentive listener and conversationalist. I believe in my business choice. Networking is a must and I'm not able to get out and do that much. Always thinking about alternatives to loans and grants since I've had no luck with them. Wondering what I should do or who's out there that could offer some help/advice.

I spent 39 years working in Corporate America. I have a confession, I liked working behind the scenes. But I have decided to do something totally different. I am starting to drive as a 1099 employee aka self-employed. Driving Part time for BOOMERANG. Who are they? Well they hire people to drive their own cars to take people who are on WC to medical Dr. Appointments., and or PT appointments. It is strictly part-time. There was video training to go through. They have some very strict requirements. Car age, no body damage to the car at all, you have to send pictures of the car. Pretty strict requirements regarding having no tickets or accidents in I think last 5 to 7 years. Minimum car/SUV insurance. You cannot drive a pickup truck. This is perfect for me, I am also working on getting on the state approved list to be a vendor for driving Medicare/Medicaid patients to Dr. Appointments as well. So this is going to give me a great experience.

The biggest mistake I made was not explaining about my health too embarrassed never had so much go on in my life at once.I loved this job it was a blessing

So, I am one of those 'older folks' who worked for a large corporation for nearly 20 years only to be cut due to downsizing. Since this happened a few years back I have been through two other downsizing's at companies, I worked at one for a year and another less than 6 months. I've been passed over so many times for jobs, losing out to younger folk it's ridiculous. You mention to someone you think age plays a factor and they look at you like you are crazy. The only jobs at least 6 people in my field are doing now are Uber and Lyft. These were TV Weathermen, Anchors, Producers. I'm not knocking Uber but I didn't spend over 30 years bustin' butt to be a taxi driver. And, the jobs I do finally talk to people about, are only paying about $40K. If our economy is reportedly so great, why are there so many people aged 45-62 out of work or driving vehicles for a living? I don't want this to get political, I'm just curious if this is a National or Regional trend. What say ye?

They will put you in positions to get yourself hurt and then fire you during workmans comp for something else. They don't care about the workers.

I love my new job! No complaints, but it is part time, so now that I'm settled in, I am again looking for work. It's not the same of course, I'm not desperate, broke, and totally lost all of my confidence. But , it is still very important, and right now I am waiting for my background check to come back from the company that is defiantly my first choice for a second job, but it seems like its been forever, and I haven't heard anything. So, because I am a felon, I was charged in 2011 with a felony, I always worry when it's time to do a background check. I also do my homework and try not to apply to places that I know don't hire felons, but I know this one does, in fact they hired me before, but at a different location, and it was just to far for me to drive. So, my question is how long should I wait before I call them to see if there was a problem with my background check? I think it's been almost 2 weeks. Thank you erin
