We had a guy who had a wreck in a company truck and tested positive for drugs. He had worked all week. We denied him his paycheck because of the positive drug test and fired him did this violet any laws

I applied to a hospital and got hired. I did a drug screen for the HR department and I have a prescription and the screening company asked the Dr what this medication was, but he isn't privileged to say. HR asked for more information which I consented. now the medication is for a brain tumor that isn't the hospitals right to know. now I won't get the job. can they do that. deny me for a medication for a pre existing condition they aren't required to know about.

Why is it so hard for a woman in her early 60s to get a job for what she has over 35 years experience doing? I have good telephone interviews, great in person interviews and even 2nd and 3rd interviews that go very well, I've even passed background and drug test to only be turned down. I know it is because of my age, I receive response saying they choose someone with more experience

How long will it take to get hired? If i already did the drug test

I was going for a random UA and did so when the gal Lost the urine sample she tried to blame me for losing it and I said I didn't touch it and she called in a manager I said I would take another UA the manager said that's fine but when they called HR HR said that I was to be terminated immediately I told him to search me I lifted up my shirt my pants everything and they wouldn't give me a chance for another urine sample and they told me to leave the premises immediately what's wrong with that picture

Really look forward to working with your team?

I was informed that I have passed the background check and drug test. That was taken two weeks ago. What happens now? And how long does it take? I have applied through a staffing agency just fyi.

I put in application I took the drug test the background check and on my job page it says pending starting date what does that mean

I hit the Jackpot!!! Just took my drug screen for my 2nd job which is a 3rd shift assembly position (super easy job) I start Monday, but guess what? It's only 2 city blocks from my 1st shift gig. 10:00p.m.-6:00 then 7:00a.m.-3:00. Even better I only live 5 minutes away. I've been out of steady work since June 2016, so I got my a.s.s. UP every morning searching/applying/looking/hustling you name it, but once I started praying about it things started going in the right direction immediately. Neither job is physically demanding, and my future is bright. Good luck on your job search everyone!

Wow no wonder it's hard for employers to find and retain great candidates...I completed an application for a Customer Service Representative based on my experience I was moved on to the next step. This step included personality questions and answers call center type assesment....I passed it. I get a message today about the next step which requires me to answer more questions and to do a video of myself in business attire and if I pass this portion...I will then receive a call from a recruiter. How many hoops does one have to jump through to get a job? The latest hoop is to have the ability to talk to a recruiter not even a interview. I will do it but THIS IS WAY TOO MUCH. Still would have to interview with management, have a background check done and there is still the drug test. Why? I'm not applying for a CEO job and not that 40k is bad but I sold cell phones and never made less than 57k. I never had to jump through so many hoops in my life. It's laughable!
