Looking for jobs is not an easy thing to do. Especially at my age 58 is very tough to do. I work part-time at a convenience store. And I just got a call to do part-time Auto Body today. So what you all have to do is just keep plugging along. It might take a month it might take two months it might take a year to find something that's good. So what I did was I took a job for $9.75 an hour. While I was in waiting and now what I'll do is I'll work both jobs. Don't get depressed do not think you're going to get a job in a couple of days. And these crazy jobs that are available on these online sites that offer you jobs. Are not as honest as you think they are. Apply for everything and anything until you find what you're looking for. Good luck to all of you!

Need a job? Great now do your home work. A good job placement takes effort . Polish that resume, post on reputable sites that will work in your skill set and give you options. Looking for work is a selling exersize in selling yourself. With a poor or dismal marketing plan, your not going to get calls. Presentation and multiple postings on different web sites and good ol fasion Foot work is what it will take. Get off your duff and do the work and you will earn the PRIVILEGE to work. It's not a right! You have to earn it !

Since my last post, "FEELING DEFEATED," I have been actively interviewing at a local Family Restaurant/ Bar and my hopes and expectations remain high. I am also very busy following through with all the links, support and guidance that I have received by fellow jobcasers for home health care and orher job opportunities and would like to thank each and every one of them for their time. It means so much to me that you all do exist!! I am grateful and honored to have been nominated and chosen for jobcaser of the day. Just receiving that nomination alone has lifted my spirits and made me know that I have chosen the right community to belong to. I will keep everyone updated throughout this journey and hope to be able to inspire others as I have been inspired. Thank ypu and happy hunting to all those out their giving it their all. U.... WE GOT THIS!!!.

Hello —

Bella & I want to wish you a happy new year. If you’re going out to celebrate, stay safe, beware of your surroundings, use common sense, and don’t drink and drive. If you’re like me and staying indoors, then stay cozy.

Enjoy!

Hello All —

I wanted to bring up a topic as a result of something that I constantly observe within the Jobcase community. It’s people that have reached a level of desperation and start begging for employment.

I understand that times are challenging for a lot of people and this post is in no way meant to be rude or disrespectful towards others, just to point out the obvious. Word of advice — begging for any form of employment out of desperation isn’t the answer. It isn’t going to increase your chances of gaining employment by making others feel pitty to want to just give you a job without you having to work for it. The expectation(s) that someone, anyone should give you a job is only hurting you because it’s a reflection that you’re at a point where you don’t want to try anymore. You might have given up whatever efforts as a result of this and now feel that you have no other form of resources to utilize so you resort to your own desperation to seek employment from anyone that’s offering anything. It’s poor marketing of yourself and you should want to value yourself far more than this being your answer to moving forward.

It’s understandable if you’re seeking employment resources, support or encouragement but to outright ask others for a job is you hitting that low point. You should stop and think about your situation. Have some pride for yourself and keep going even when you feel like giving up. Opportunities aren’t just handed to us or life would be much easier if it was, you have to get out there and face countless rejections repeatedly until that one door that opens is finally meant to open.

This should include those who feel like their only form of communication is telling others to pray and let the lord help. I’m not saying that I don’t believe in God or have some elements of faith, but projecting your religious beliefs onto others constantly isn’t going to change the wind to say either, especially if the other person isn’t religious or isn’t equally religious as you are or might be. It doesn’t mean that one shouldn’t pray or have hope that help comes along, it just means to be realistic in a world that’s moving faster than any of us can keep up with. The world is dark, cruel, and often disappointing but it’s also beautiful if you know how to look at it’s beauty through all of its negatives.

My point here is simple, the beauty is in the effort but it’s up to you on how much effort you choose to put into something. Minimum effort can produce minimal return depending on each situation or it bring a big reward. The only one you can depend on is yourself, and should you feel like you’ve reached a low then learn to think, learn to research, learn use whatever resources to keep yourself mentally going to keep that strong effort active. Life is not easy, it wasn’t meant to be easy but you wake up everyday with a new page to write your paragraphs, and it’s up to you to understand whether you want to continue or put a period at the end of your final sentence.

Going into 2019 should give you a much clearer perspective in things, and what path you want to create for yourself. If you refuse to improve yourself because “life is too hard” or you make the same excuses as you always have, know that expectation(s) lead to heartache — every time.

Think about this post should it spark your interest to comment. Best wishes for you all in 2019!

I see so many depressing post of how people can not find a job, or or are not being called back from employers and how life is just so horrible and not fair. Hello people, we live in one of the most economical booming society on the face of this planet!! There are hundreds if not thousands of companies and employees looking for people to work for them because in all honesty they need people like you and me to do the work that they're not doing! You gotta also remember that there are hundreds if not thousands of people applying for the same job and same position as you, and only the Best wins at the end. Trust me, I know how it feels to be denied a position or have a door closed in your face. That doesn't mean stop trying. There is Always a way!

It is the Anniversary of my car accident on 12-14-17. So, I had no idea or could have imagined how much life can lead you into different directions. Before the accident, I was living in the DC and MD area looking for a new direction. I was working as a substitute teacher, working for Lyft and doing some events in the city on occasion. Then the accident!!! In a moments notice, I could have been gone but God's plan for me was not over. Life has changed so much from that time. Blessings upon Blessings!!! Some challenges but nothing earth shattering. Life is full of challenges and those challenges are the opportunities for you to either push forward or continue doing the same thing expecting different results that are not going to happen. God has a plan for us all and we must seek guidance and strength daily.

I have been blessed to work from home doing a few different opportunities. I have been working from home with Sykes Enterprises, Inc. mainly, also been working part time with DaDaABC teaching English to Chinese students and I have been doing events in the City of Pittsburgh. God has allowed me to come out of the accident and push forward and move towards the plan he has for me.

The first of the year, I am looking to get this book in print that I have been working on, I have my second grand baby coming in March. My daughter that is expecting now is also getting married in July of next year. Pray for me, I have a business I would like to get launched. One of my most favorite people is in the picture below: My Prince, My Grand Baby KiYon!! Where does the Time Go???The Cycle of Life Continues!!!.

So many people go to work everyday and go home feeling like they made little to no contribution to their friends and family, letalone the world. But in a simple statement, you are a part of something, and you have the ability to change things. This affects more than your job or company, it affects the people that are around you. If done right, and enough people pay it forward...you can essentially change the world.

In my life I went to school for Phlebotomy and received my certificate. Then I went to school for License Practical Nurse and needed 1 semester before graduating. I tired 3 attempts at my License Practical Nurse. But with all those 3 attempts I did not graduate. So I decided to go to Cosmetology School needed 1 month to graduate. But did not graduate. I had to relocate do due military obligations(Army). So then I focus on Army and was catching hell every day from my command. But through it all I never gave up. The Lord has a plan for our lives. And if it's not in his plan, you can try all you want but you will not achieve it. The Lord plan is not like our plan for our life. I prefer the Lord Plan. What about you?
