There is great value in rigor. But it is better to discipline yourself to obtain sufficient sleep, exercise, and time with family and keep things in balance. Many who go to more rigorous universities overwork themselves and deprive themselves of sleep in order to keep up with the demands of the school. Yet it is also possible to learn the same material and learn it better by working smarter. Consider pre-studying.
So I got a new job 3 months ago and still love it. It's a sales service repersenative position with a class A cdl. It's local and I'm home every day early afternoon. This job has changed my family's life. It literally was a $40,000 a year raise from my last job of 10 years. I am grateful and feel very fortunate to have this job. I know the struggle is real out there and I just want to send my blessings to you in Hope's you to will find a job that not only you love, but will financially take care of your family like mine. My daughter is young but she understands the values of life and I love her for that.

I was fired from my job of 3 years for falling asleep. I care for my disabled husband after he broke his neck a year ago. Having had a particularly rough night caring for him, I got about 3 hours sleep. The office was very quiet that day and I had completed my work. After being allowed to complete my day, I went home. When I went to work the next morning, I was immediately sent home without pay. It took them 2 weeks to officially fire me. My unemployment was denied. My former employers didn't even mention the fact that I was always early, that I often went out of my way to do company business, was proficient in my responsibilities, and we'll liked by clients. Now, I can't seem to find a job anywhere. I feel like they have black balled me and are giving negative responses to perspective employers. As hard as I tried to appease my supervisor, nothing was good enough. What do you think?
My last job was officially in 2011. My mother and father needed help with a caregiver. So for 6 years, other than an insurance class here and there. I have a huge gap on my resume. I was hired in 2017 for office work but turned out the pool business and selling new pool renovations wasn't my thing to say the least.
My resume has still managed to get me requests for Assesment tests, which sadly I just past at average scores. There are plenty of qualified, younger candidates that on paper are getting hired.
Is there anything I can do to open up some doors? I have over 20 years experience in Office Administrator skills. I am also 53 years old.
