My advice to people interested in working at #FordMotorCompany as a #Assembler, inspector, forkliftdriver ...
If you're thinking about ford, be prepared cause the pace of the lines are fast. So try to get someone to help you with the rhythm of the line speed. Make sure you have on the right kind of shoes. Drink plenty of water and also get a big water jug to feel up and take to your work station. No water fountains. Good luck!!!

The most stressful day at ford was the first day. First of all my new shoes were killings my feet, so I walked on the back of them. But not only that I got sick from taking a ipro bufferin. Never had taken one before and it made me sick. Should have eaten something. Got a box to relieve my self, cause you couldn't go to medical.

The only time a co-worker got made at me, is when I rubbed Vaseline off her face. I didn't know she intentionally applied on her face. So I told her I was sorry and asked for her forgiveness. She did and we continued to be friends. That won't ever happen again

What I loved about ford motor co. I work fast with my hands once I know what I'm doing. You also have a opportunity to move up on the job. From a assembler to supervisor if you desire. I met a lot of people almost like family.

When it's extremely hot & u need a water and bathroom break

My advice to people interested in working at #FordMotorCompany as a #EngineeringProjectCoordinator/AdministrativeAssistant ...
Most hourly jobs go through MDot.com Most admin salary jobs come in through temp agencies and are a temp to hire. Admin's are paid according to their boss. I got paid the same as a Director's Admin--higher than a Chief Engineer's Admin--but that was because I earned it. That is, I helped our Japanese guy communicate with the engineers to produce a couple of patents. If I stayed there longer, I could have ended up with a good retirement! But after Dad died, someone had to take care of Mom until she died at 94. She did not take Dad's death well.

The biggest mistake I made as a #EngineeringProjectCoordinator/AdministrativeAssistant at #FordMotorCompany ...
The biggest mistake I made while working there was to accept a package when they offered them to their employees during the recession. I enjoyed Ford Motor Company and missed the Stamping Department. But I also knew taking a package was right, as this was my father's last year of his battle with bladder cancer. He died the following year at age 89.
