I have this friend. No this is not me really referencing myself. LOL. Anyways, so she works in groceries stores. She always ask what kind of job I have. By the way I am temp. So I get these jobs that are great and so is the pay. I tell her she should apply through the agency, but she always puts herself down and says she is not smart enough. I always tell her she is. I believe she can be in high pay jobs. She just won't allow herself to exceed better and take the risk from where she is. I am not asking for advice. Just wanted to vent, but I am still smiling.=)

Everybody loves a winner, it has been said, but nobody knows you when you’re down and out. One of the often unappreciated benefits of adversity is that it accelerates the process of identifying your true friends.

You never know who your real friends are until adversity overtakes you and you need cooperation.

My friend and I both went and applied for the same job. Well come to find out she LIED on her resume! She gave herself all this experience on the resume she has never had, and the job didn’t bother to check. I know because she showed me her resume right before and she thought it was funny. I obviously didn’t. When the job told me I wasn't hired and that they were moving forward with a more "qualified applicant" I wanted to scream because I actually have more experience than her!!! Ugh, I am so frustrated!! What should I do? Is it better to have more experience even if it's fake?!

How do you give advice when someone doesn't want it. I have been asked by several friends on what to do and not do on a job interview. As I have had plenty, and none have actually profited, I know how to get through an interview. Just once I would like one to pan out. But anyway, I have gone through resumes with people, mock interviews about what they might say and not say, and how you should behave and dress. And maybe what type of job they want, and all I get is well that is not going to work, and I have tried, and it's not working. Or some other excuse. How do you tell them that you're done, and good luck. I had one friend who must have had a million excuses why she couldn't do something. I finally said, enough, enough of the poor pitiful me routine. I told her the amount of time she spends on social media, she should be looking for a job. She didn't like that very much.
