I'm looking for work as a front Desk person in a Hotel

Just meeting people and gaining respect, especially from the executives was a great experience for me. Being able assist them and showing my professionalism gave me pride.

Looking for a part-time position - Front Desk or anything clerical.

I get to encounter most of our guests first and get to set a good impression. I enjoy working with people and I I treat everyone with respect. Its all about making your guest feel like they matter because they do matter.

I was offered a part time position that entailed more that the title itself. I accepted the position, however during the training I found out that working at the Front Desk of a mentally ill residential facility comes with a lot of responsibilities. Not only am I responsible for distributing meds to the patients, I have to help take care of the building and the upkeep of it. I have to take care of the fire alarms throughout the property, I have to make sure the floors are clean by keeping it clean myself, I have to document any & everything that occurs on the property. If any of the Clients relieve themselves anywhere besides their own toilet facilities, I have to clean it up. Not only that but if the roof alarm goes off I have to check the roof to make sure no one has committed suicide & then I have to run downstairs and check the back of the building to confirm it. The list goes on & on. Yes I do need a job because I am working part-time as Group Counselor (and I'm not happy or comfortable). I live here in NYC, I have a Bachelor's Degree, I just sent my daughter off to college and I am working on my second daughter. If a full time job was to land on my lap, I'd grab it but to what expense? My question is, should I meet with the director who hired me & let this new position go? I've never heard of such duties before.

My daughter is looking for a front receptionist job . She has excellent customer service skills, ability to multi-task, as well as work experience. Any recommendations on employers, please advise.

I had an interview with a Mazda dealership for a front desk position. I was clearly qualified for the job and when I was called for an interview they had notified me to bring two forms of I.d to sign forms in the event I was hired. I got there and a receptionist interviewed me ( someone I later found out was not qualified to conduct interviews) well after the interview which seemed to have gone great as we talked about personal likes and our love for nail colors ect. She walked me out and I didn't hear from her or anyone for 2 days. When I called to check on the status . The same women informed me the position had already been filled. That night , continuing my job search I came across another new ad for the same position saying " still in need of front desk associate" I found it to be strange and called back and spoke to the person who actually turned out to be the hiring manager and she didn't have any answers for me. Didn't know who I was and said she couldn't help me. What do I do?

Actually not that i could come across of having a stressful situation while working there but if i did i would say i dealt with it by keeping calm listening and taking notes by saying yes mam no mam, yes sir no sir
