What is the #Coronavirus stimulus package??

This is about to be the most substantial economic stimulus measure in modern history. Here are five significant takeaways.

  1. The government will send $1,200 in direct payments to taxpayers with incomes up to $75,000/year. Families will receive an additional $500 per child.

  2. Unemployment benefits will grow and be available to many more Americans. Expansion of the benefits will extend job insurance by 13 weeks and include a four-month enhancement of benefits. It has been broadened to include gig workers and freelancers!!

  3. Small businesses are eligible to receive emergency loans if they pledge NOT to lay off their workers. Loans would be forgiven if the employer continued to pay workers for the duration of the crisis.

  4. Larger companies can receive a government bailout loan, but there are several strings attached.

  5. Struggling hospitals will receive aid. $100 billion will be available to hospitals and health systems across the country. It also includes billions more to provide personal and protective equipment and increases support for health care workers, testing supplies, and new construction to house affected patients.

If you have concerns about your medical examination and certification, and renewal of your license during coronavirus, read this link below (the bulleted items are the main part). Basically, in response to COVID-19, yesterday the DOT has waived some requirements for CDLs, CLPs, and non-CDLs from now June 30, 2020. Thank you for what you are doing and hopefully this gives you one less thing for concern.
