This past Tuesday I walked out on my job really just got tired of it working production packing wet wipes for 8 hours a day at four and a half months pregnant. Get this, my schedule was 5:55 to 2 p.m. but I had to be to work at least by 5am because no lie, I had to walk a mile to get to my actual job post. I timed myself daily which usually would take 12 to 15 minutes from my actual car to where I needed to be this is what you have to do everyday Monday through Friday sometimes Saturday through rain, hail, sleet snow, hot weather, cold weather... they don't give a damn. You have to put on all your ppe equipment before entering your site so that took atleast another 10-15 mins..me being pregnant always used the restoom before going in so another 5-8 mins gone lol but I worked my ass off doing various of different jobs that my line required.. Rather it was packing, making boxes, driving the line, stacking the pallots.. You name it while coworkers would lag around being lazy!! I really just got fed up this week and walked out...said a prayer the mile long walk back to my car... Went home changed clothes and went out to apply elsewhere.... Got hired that very next day and start my orientation Monday! Just letting anyone know keep faith and don't stay where you're unappreciated and not treated fairly. P.S. Oh and if you were even a minute late it was a point and you only got 4 1/2 before you were out the door.

After a month of waiting I was officially hired at Amazon after waiting one month after my interview. Hopefully I’ll be able to put a 2 week notice in at the job I have now. I don’t know want to leave my boss in limbo being shorthanded but if they need me immediately I’ll have to exit real fast. I very excited for the new opportunity. Kudas to me and I’ll pray everything works out in the long run

I managed to find a part-time job as a graphic designer today. I still want to get back into journalism, but I was in business as a graphic artist, website designer, and Internet marketer for 25 years. I want to relocate back to the Huntington, WV area and Marshall University. I have even considered going back for a doctorate. It is one of those remote, work at home jobs. I don't know how long this is going to last, but I am excited for now.

For those of you who have written about being scammed by fake Cardinal Health and others for a remote job:

I worked remotely about 15 years ago for a company called CORT business services. The division I worked for was called Relocation Central. I worked at this job for 4 years while my kids were babies. At that time (15 years ago) they paid $15. They provided full benefits, and paid a stipend to help you set up a home office. If you didn’t have a computer, they would buy you one and you could pay it off in installments taken out of your check.

I just looked on the CORT website and that job is posted. It’s a sales job, so you must have a sales background and/or real estate experience. Good luck!

I will keep this short, but I have been on here since being laid off since March of this year. I assumed the job search would not be as difficult as I have experience in Telecom/IT. I was wrong. I admit I did get some offers to contract, but they were out of state and I could not work those positions as I am a single father and my youngest son just entered high school. I finally got a position with Delta Global Services (DGS). It is subsidiary of Delta Airlines. I walked in, had an interview on the spot next thing I am going through the background/ Drug Test process. Low and Behold I just picked up my airport badge yesterday and training will start next week. I know here in the Atlanta area they are taking walk ins like crazy!! So contact me and I will give you the location information. I wont be making with I was before but, that is ok I just needed to get in the door...I can make my own way after that. Keep your heads up and God Bless!!

So I posted earlier about getting fired from my job because I went on another interview because my current job wasn't giving me 40 hours a week when all our competitors were swamped with work. My company found out I took an interview even though I was up front with them if they couldn't give me 40 hours I would be forced to. Long story short... I have been on unemployment, and was ready to retrain and go back to my last trade... I was waiting for the workforce to approve helping to pay for it, and give me additional weeks of benefits while I was training. I got a call about a technicians job (I am currently doing HVAC/R even though I am a mechanical engineer by trade, and also and have a computer science degree.) They wanted a technician and were paying very well. I interviewed and got a call within 3 hours from corporate and they told me not only did they want to offer me a job, they felt I had more knowledge than anyone they had interviewed and decided I should be a supervisor vs a technician. I will tell you before that news... I was pretty much ready to give up. Sometimes when things seem they are at its worse.... things work out. If you are in the same position... never give up.

I got a job with Walgreens as a Customer Service Associate. I have been there over a month. The position is basically cashier. The hours aren't bad either. The position is part time.
