I remember My 5th year at The Home Depot, I was working in electrical at the time and they always talked about pushing credit like to were I new if I could make myself noticed in a good way lol then this is how I'm gonna do it, so every customer I approached it was mandatory I drop my Credit-Script before I close my sell with that customer and I'm telling u all I needed was something to fish with that was good enough to get them to bite. And store manager and I at the time she agreed with me giving any customer that got approved for a consumer account got anything in the store that was $25 are less they wanted for free are $25 off anything and u will be surprised how many jump on that offer. I would open 10+ a day 50-60 in a week and top it off I got them to make store money to use on anything to use for an incentive to get more employee on the same page. + I finally got noticed........

I never forget as walking with my store manager a couple of my peers and my district manager. I happened to notice that one my lot guys was assisting a customer in the pro load area and he had duct tape on one of his shoes. When we get done with our business walk Iwalked up to the associate and I asked him, what's up with the duct tape on your shoe then he says man money's tight in I can't really afford new shoes so you gotta do what you gotta do right. I told him I hear you on that. So I asked them what size shoe he wears and he told me. I was like well your feet are bigger than mine. If I were that size and I had a spare pair of shoes I'd give them to you. He responded Hey appreciate it so I went on my way and continued my shift. That following day, I went to the boot barn and I bought the associate some hiking boots with my own money not store money. I didnt want to raise money for the associate and invertedly embarrassed him or something. I didnt want to draw attention to him. So I went to by him some hiking boots. The next time that associate worked I gave him the boots before his shift. I've never seen a grown man start to tear and tell me thank you for being a really good boss and being somebody who really cares for his people that's the day I'll never forget.

That I was Cashier of the Month 3 times in 2 years. That is a Very BIG deal for me.

I will never forget this one day I was on my way walking down the main aisle, on my way to my break. I looked to my right, down the Water Heater aisle. I saw this man taking down a Water Heater by himself, I gasped! And offered to call someone to help him. And that customers are Not supposed to get them down off the second shelf by themselves. He assured me he was Okay. I refered him as the "Water Heater guy" for awhile each time I saw him come in. Then I found out I went to school with him. And I remember having a "Crush" on him back in school. LOL

I have had a lot of LOL moments. I LOL each day!

It may get very busy at times, but if I can do it, so can you.

A lot of different things. The tools, my co-workers, the friendly customers.
