Four bounced paychecks and to many caregivers and not enough clients. Made a logical decision and exited home instead senior care

My favorite part of my job was educating care givers and other staff members ,helping them to understand how to help our clients and family members It was a win win situation for all. Also I enjoyed meeting clients and their family members

My client had, had a stroke and was in a wheelchair. We had a Hurricane coming but she did not want to leave her dogs. I kept trying to get her to come with me and my family but she kept saying No. I went to the store and bought everything she would need in case she lost power. After finding someone to take care of her dogs, I convenced her to go stay with a family member. I took her to her cousins house 30 minutes away from my home. Once I got her all settled I went home to get my home and family ready for the storm.

I get so much gratitude from all my clients. It is just an awesome feeling when you are the main reason that my clients depend on me to help them do things that help them stay in their homes Instead of having to move out of their safe haven they have built their whole lives. I am able to make sure they are safe and am able to help them stay in their home where they want to be.

My advice to people interested in working at #Homeinsteadseniorcare as a #CaregiverforAlzheimer'sstrokepatientsbedriddenandsomemovement ...
