Today’s prompt word for #Inktober is #exhausted. I’ll admit that I struggled a bit with that prompt until I decided to draw a scene from the #Disney #animation classic #SleepingBeauty. There are times when I get so tired that I could easily fall into a deep sleep like that. #Inktober2018 #drawing

Today’s prompt word for #Inktober is #drooling. When I was a teenager my family had a #dog who was part-Labrador Retriever and part-Chesapeake Bay Retriever named Napoleon. Like all dogs Napoleon was into begging for people food while leaving his own dog food uneaten. (He would eventually get around to eating his own food but he preferred what people were eating.) He would stoop to begging where he would cast the saddest eyes he could muster. If he didn’t get what he wanted, the next step was to stick his tongue out, start panting, and begin drooling. The longer he drooled, the more foamy his mouth got and a small puddle would start to form around him. His mouth would get so foamy that it looked like he had rabies. (He always got his rabies shot every year.) That tactic was especially effective when my parents had guests over and his drooling would gross out the guests so much that they gave in and gave him what they were eating. #Inktober2018 #drawing

Today’s prompt word for #Inktober is #chicken. I know someone who keeps chickens in her backyard at her home in Takoma Park, Maryland. I shot some pictures of her chickens when I went to a party at her place back in August. My #drawing is based on one of my photos. #Inktober2018

Today’s prompt word for #Inktober is #spell. I initially had a few ideas of #drawing a witchcraft spell or a magical spell. I finally came upon this famous scene from the classic #Disney movie #Fantasia. It is during the #SorcerersApprentice sequence when #MickeyMouse casts a spell on an ordinary broom, transforming it into something that’s capable of walking and hauling water. I drew the first few moments of Mickey casting that spell when the broom is in the process of transforming from an inanimate object to something that can move on its own. By the way, this year is the 90th #anniversary of the cartoon that made Mickey famous, Steamboat Willie. #Inktober2018

Today’s prompt word for #Inktober is #roasted. I’ll admit that I struggled with that one. The only thing I could think of was roasted #chicken so I drew that. #food #dinner #drawing #Inktober2018

Today’s prompt word for #Inktober is #tranquil. I’ve seen garden statues of frogs in a meditation position sold at local plant nurseries and I even seen a meditating dog garden statue in one of the yards in my neighborhood. I decided to #draw a #statue of a #dog in complete #meditation. #Inktober2018 #drawing

Here’s my first #ink #drawing for #Inktober. The word from the official prompt list is #poisonous. I came up with the idea of #SnowWhite getting ready to unwittingly bite into the poisonous apple that will put her in such a deep sleep that only a kiss from a true love can reverse the spell. #Disney #DisneyPrincess #fairytale #BrothersGrimm #Inktober2018
