Hello Jobcase!
As someone entering into the world of interviews after interviews, I am extremely curious if anyone has any funny or interesting experiences with interviews they would like to share?? So I started a group called "Interview like a Pro" for everyone to share their stories and learn more! Heres the link! Really excited to hear about people's experiences!

I have been trying to get a job for months now and I can't figure out how to get hired. I'm young and have experience in what I apply for, yet they keep turning me away. I don't get it. Does anyone know what I can do? I have gone on interviews but never get called back. It seems as if they feel giving me is a favor to me. After every interview I think about what I could have done better and try to do better on the next one. It never works though. Does anybody have any suggestions on what I can do?

Although I have multiple years of experience in handling claims and have humbly shown a strong interest in absorbing the Traveler's way of handling claims and expanding my knowledge to do bodily injury claims as well, I still can not get an interview, Why?

I applied for a position and was called by the recruiter of the company. I thought we really hit it off and she told me that out of 150 applicants I had been rated by the hiring team as having the best resume and most industry experience. I had mentioned that I had bern considering chsnging to a different industry. She then said, "no, we're not going to let you do that", She then scheduled a phone interview with the hiring manager for top 5 applicants and she would choose for 3 to come in and interview with 4 different people. I had the phone interview and was called back for the face to face interview. I got to choose when I wanted to come in of the available times because I was "still # 1. I chose the fitst appt. I thought I had great interviews. They all went over the allotted times. I sent a thsnk you note to all. I didn't get the job. I asked for feedback so that I could hopefully improve. The recruiter said she hadn't gotten feedback but that she would and get back to me. She never has. I feel kind of mistreated. Like I was ahead through the 3rd quarter and then git blindsided. Any advice or opinions?

My boss found out I had an interview yesterday. If he fires me for looking for anot her job is that illegal?

Thought I’d share my experience on a recent information interview I had with a recruiter for a national employment agency to talk about my job placement challenges and employment opportunities. I have a big gap in my resume since my last job in 2008, due to an illness, and I’ve been trying relentlessly to get back into a finance career with no success. She filters through hundreds of resumes on a weekly bases and finds that her biggest placement challenge is not finding candidates that lack skills and experience but finding resumes with little to no employer perceived risks like long employment gaps and job hopping. The on-boarding costs for a new employee is an expensive investment and the stigma most companies associate to applicants who present with these risks factors is typically negative. She suggest getting active with skill building activities like online/classroom training, volunteer, or career development workshops to build up my resume. She also suggest getting myself prepared to answer tough interview questions around why I left my last job and what I’ve been doing during my time off. I feel like I walked away from our talk with great ideas and tools to help me develop a better job search strategy. I know getting back into a good job in my field will take some time and effort but hopefully it will all pay off. So if you’re struggling to find a job like me; Keep at it and don’t give up!!

For a job for about a year now!? Why won't anybody hire me? I've been on interviews but, mostly all I get are scam/spam emails from these people saying they will give me millions of dollars if I help them??

I prefer to work at home. I am so sick and tired of being looked over. I have a lot of customer service experience however most of the jobs I've worked with the most customer service experience goes a few years back and a few of the companies have gone out of business. I'm sick of being told that my application is being reviewed and the next day they tell me that even though my resume is strong, there are other applicants that are more qualified and they will not be moving my application forward. This does not mean I can't do the job. I feel like I've been tried and convicted without being given a fair chance. I am desperate now because I am a diabetic and the diabetes has damaged my kidneys. Some of these interviewers are a little rude and don't seem to have compassion and remember when they were in the same shoes I'm wearing now. I have to have someway to pay for my medicines. I don't have any family members here in the state where I live that could help me. I have a lot of customer service experience but if no one gives me the chance how would they know if I can do the job or not? I don't think this is fair either. If there are any employers out there that's reading this, I'm asking that you would be kind and reach out to me. All I'm asking is that you give me a chance to prove myself worthy. I need to also ask, if anyone knows of any temp to perm agencies that hire work from home agents in the state of Florida?

I had a second interview today and it lasted from around 745 to 900 I'm hoping I get offered the job.the supervisor was very nice and friendly we talked a lot about the job and even said this is what you'll be doing does that mean he wants to hire me or did he just accidently that ahh there is just so many questions and so long to wait
