Overview:

Responsible for managing the successful delivery of a project as defined by the Final Project Objectives (FPO's) within the agreed upon scope, schedule and budget.

Key responsibilities and activities: • Manages project budget and detailed financial planning, schedule in terms of effort-based project plans with PMx standards and tracking/monitoring of issues, risks, decisions, assumptions, and dependencies. • Verifies scope and acceptance conditions. • Plans and manages resources; Ensures the team is staffed correctly. • Resolves functional and technical problems to deliver on time, spend, and quality to ensure the realization of business benefits. • Provides proactive communication of project status, budget, issues, and risks to sponsors and stakeholders. • Manages finances, scope changes, schedules and releases. • Works closely with the Program Manager (if applicable) to achieve the project objectives and ensures that the project plan aligns with the overarching program plan. • Ensures adherence to Pharmaceutical established processes (SDLC, PMx etc.) while executing the project.

Job Roles & Responsibilities:-

This project will be to consolidate Trade Risk Data for an investment banking firm, so they can report on a number of Metrics dealing with regulatory compliance. There is currently one business unit live right now, and they are looking to roll this out to 9 business units. They are looking for 6 high level technical resources with hands on Hadoop (who are also hands on with Java) who can help build out the design for this new data repository. They will be using Hadoop as well as Oracle SQL. Experience with Investment banking or financial services is a big plus. Significant opportunities to join large, high profile, business critical systems development project at tier one investment bank. Purpose of the system is to provide the business and operations teams with metrics, analytics and reporting on all of their trading activity, financial positions and risk exposure. The system aggregates and ingests large volumes of trade, position and risk data into a hadoop repository; it performs data analytics and creates MIS and reporting for consumption by the business. It also generates alerts and workflow for the operations teams. Significant enhancements are required to the system to support wider portfolio of trading products, additional metrics, analytics and reporting. Additionally, the system is undergoing major architecture enhancements to reduce complexity and improve throughput and performance.
