"Interview Tip"

Be Mindful of When Your Interview Takes Place

When your interview takes place matters and could affect its outcome. Interviewing early in the week and early in the day is possibly better because the interviewers won’t be tired from conducting numerous interviews. So if you have a choice it may be better to schedule it early.

Why? It could mean the interviewer will be more present and energetic during your interview. So be mindful of when your interview is taking place and do your best to read the room once you are in there with the interviewers. Grab any advantage that you can get to present yourself better. #AWU #disability #jobs #interviewtip

"Resume Tip for Remote Work"

Collaboration Tools you need to know how to use for Remote Work!

The work-from-home trend is here to stay, which means employers highly value your ability to collaborate remotely.

Be sure to list tools like Zoom, Slack, Trello, or Microsoft Teams on your resume.

These platforms are now commonplace for team communication, project management, and virtual meetings. If you've managed remote teams or worked on collaborative projects, mention how you used these tools to maintain productivity and communication.

A simple bullet point like "Managed a team of five remote employees using Slack and Trello" demonstrates your ability to thrive in a digital workspace. #AWU #disability #jobs #resumetips

You my friends will attract, what you give in your daily contacts.

"Resume Tip"

What is in a name, you ask?

Everyone after they create there Resume saves it. Many simply save it as Resume and it is saved in your system as "Resume doc". So when you apply for a job or send it to someone, the file name reads "Reseme doc". Remember, the objective here is to become memorable in the mind of the recruiter or hiring manager.

That said I would highly recommend that after you creat your Resume you save it with Your Name as the file name something like Jane_Doe_Resume.doc. It is then easily identifiable and keeps your name standing out. #AWU #disability #jobs #resumetips
