So I received a email about an interview with no information about the company. I'm really trying to understand why these scam recruiters/artist continue to try and obtain people information. If we are seeking employment that means we are in need of money. I'm not going to provide you my information so you can take what little I have away from my household. Really get up and do as many of us are trying to do, and get a real job.

I had a foreign man call my phone today telling me I would recieve grant money just for showing interest in going to school. He put me on the phone with a third party to confirm but the whole ordeal struck me as crazy odd.

So I've had my share of interviews and I usually know what to prepare for. However, I am currently looking for another job position and I received an email stating they viewed my resume online or it was given to them as a referral. I called the person and when I spoke to them, they asked if I could send a copy of my resume and...get this...if they could have the last 4 digits of my SSN. First things first, I've never met these people yet and you're asking me for something very personal. And second, you just told me you received my resume off a job site or got it as referral from someone. This makes no sense to me, so I didn't send them anything again. Has this happen to anyone before?

I received the text message from the number 646-547-2547 they inform me of a job offer with Sulon energy. Which is a real company. He stated his name was Mr. Per Hornung pedersen. I Google the name real person they gave me the run down of his information stated he wanted to do it any of you video Google Chat I informed him that I was not comfortable with that we can do a Skype interview or over the phone. He stated that they could not call me right now because they were very busy but we can do a texting you I have never done a text interview he kept asking for all of my information I informed him that if he had a copy of my resume he would know what jobs and what experience I have done have had in the past he asked for my email account my full account of mine every word that I had worked before and then he wanted my address phone number and social security number he stated that I already had the job that I don't remember applying for so to trick him up I asked him was a job in Alaska mind you I don't live in Alaska never been to Alaska he stated yes it was I know it was a scam so I stopped conversating day just wanted to give a heads up and let you guys know if you received any text from this number or this person stating to be the person it is not it seems to be a scam and it said because I'm really out here looking for a job and people are taking your weakness

I was contacted by a company seeking to employ me as a "Secret Shopper" for banks and other financial institutions. They sent me a $2,785 Cashiers Check in the mail - asking me to cash the check... keep my $285 fee - but go to the bank, and deposit the remaining cash into a checking account at Wells Fargo. I deposited the Cashiers Check, did not cash it. They texted me the account number to deposit the cash into, and provided me the account holders name. I contacted them via text - telling them I had followed everything exactly as they had asked. I knew something was up... so I never deposited any money, instead I contacted my bank, found out the Cashiers Check was a fake - and then went to Wells Fargo - explained the scam to them... and they contacted the Account holder to see if they were in on the scam... when they realized they were in on the scam, they froze their account - no access to any funds at all!!! Be careful out there. Wells Fargo Manager told me they got another scam - similar - but the girl ended up losing $10,000 in this one. So be extra careful!

Another scam out there is using the company "edited write" they pulled contact info from resume posted online and called using a wi-fi number to do a phone interview. They then send a check hoping you'll be so happy to see money that you will start western union them funds for your 'needed' startup equipment. Watch yourselves these scammers are scum.

I answered several ads on Craigslist, Peggy was the contact person. The ad said 15 an hour, vague job duties. Peggy assured me that there would be several companies, multiple job, sounded like a job fair. It was ACCS marketing and it was knocking on doors to get people to switch their electric supplier. WHAT A SCAM! First person Caleb from NY said we would have the option to work commission or 15 an hour, come back next day for training. The next day 4 out of 11 came back. Sean, the recruiter for this area, said 2 did not pass back ground check and the others were in another training class. ANOTHER LIE! By the end of class he said if you arent on commission, you wont work. So we were supposed to go out the next day to knock on doors but they have a morning meeting, i arrived early for the meeting and not one person in the room knew about the $15 per hour, all were commission and said they were never given the choice. What a farce. I would have been expected to work 9:30 to 6:30 six days per week! Not this college educated, 30 year retired state employee! Of course I felt sorry for the young people dumb enough to fall for this scam. DONT!

There is also another person out there sending an email of an opportunity to work from home. they are saying that they are representing UIL Energy, a company out of Australia. They are saying that they are going to send you a check to purchase your computer equipment and dest for the work at home position. This is also a scam, PLEASE BE AWARE!

Whoever they are also tried me. But something was fishy to me when they were sooooo over demanding as to how fast I should respond. So I called the company they supposedly represented _Simplyhired.com)and the company they were "hiring" for. The Wesley Com[any is real but the COO checked and the ad for the job was 6 yrs ago and the job finder service Simply Hired went out of business last year!!! SMH!!!

I received a job offer for office assistant for a construction company named keane construction out of NJ.. They just said after looking at my "application" they want me to join their team at $20 PER HOUR AND $50 bonus. They were also setting me up with a home office. New laptop.....they told me to go visit their website. Couldn't reach anyone with theach numbers they provided. This was a Jona Hardy Human Resources. They were persistent in me confirming information until I sent email telling them I was not interested in their scam....no response as of yet. They wanted to send me a check so I could cash it, take out my $120 plus %50 bonus plus take out additional $100 for gas and I was to send remainder to "vendor" who was gonna set me up with complete home office......
