Ok this has become a big problem for me. I have applied for several Jobs in my chosen career and 2 said they could not hire me because of what another company said. Now I know that Louisiana has laws against that and have wondered if there are any lawyers out there that could give me some help in this. I know I have a good case against one for defamation the other company that I suspect in doing this disrespectful act I am unsure about. It normally doesn't take me long to get work as a boat captain/wheelman but it has gone on for more than a month now, and I know that companies are hiring. I have 24 years operating push boats and have only had 2 incidents. Both were fund to not have been my fault by the USCG. This is becoming very frustrating seeing as bills are piling up and I am about to lose my home over this matter.
