The store I worked at (Sandusky) was closed but I believe the company was very informative and fair to the staff. Their scheduling is all done online. It was very easy to adjust your personal schedule by advertising your shift online and alleviating attendance issues while also maintaining appropriate coverage in the department.

Black Friday - many customers in line with short tempers and we were short staffed. I did not take any breaks at all.

I accepted a return of a watch ($300). The customer should have been referred to Fine Jewelry. The watch had several links removed and Macy’s was unable to fix to resell the item.

A customer was trying to return an item to Macy’s and it was not purchased at a Macys. She asked to talk to a manager and I contacted the manager to come to the department. While waiting, the customer threw the slippers at me and left.

Management professionalism, scheduling technology

Management and accommodating schedules

The hours were perfect and the work was easy

I had a great experience at Macy's because of the people I worked with. A few months into my job I found out my wife and I were pregnant. 8 months later they all got together and threw a man shower for me during our lunch. Yup it's a thing. I was lucky to be apart of that team. I still miss them! When you are looking at jobs find GREAT people to work with, it's so important.

I loved working at Macy’s , specially interacting with customers, the challenges, atmosphere , but unfortunately after almost seven years, had to leave for personal reasons.
