I was hired as a carver, to replace the carver that left the company. My job:. To carve the logs that were going to be molded and used in gas and propane fireplace systems. I used ceramic blocks and ceramic cauking to produce realistic models, We also would incorporate actual logs , modifing them to fit our needs. I then voluntered to help out the mold shop I learned the molding process for ceramic logs, and refractory logs. Also making foam in place packaging molds and vacuum form panel molds as well as sculpting log sets. I also would make multipal hand carved sets of our prototype logs for trade shows. During my tenure, Monessen Hearth bought Martin Industries, and then Vermont Castings. In 2014 The business was purchased by HHT , Hearth and Home Technologies, to obtain our vent free technology and patents. HHT Closed one of the vermont castings plants down within a year of buying the businesses & had no intentions of keeping the Paris Ky plant open, and started laying off employees in 2015 , and offering to let employees move to other states to work for HHT. I had no interest in HHT as an employer.

Everything. From my co-workers and management and guests to the product, atmosphere, pay, and positions. I enjoyed this job more than any this far. The owner is wonderful. She loves taking care of her employees, providing a fun place to be, for bothe staff and guests, she takes an interest in the success of the company as a team, invites variety, implements strong work ethics, educates on the field of business, and helps instill a sense of pride and belonging. I miss working here and just may try to show up someday in the future. Some of the same staff has been there for many years and always welcomed me back. I couldn't have asked for a better work experience!

I have a unique talent in the glass and glazing industry, but it seems like know one is interested in me. I have filled out 20 applications and have 15 search engines goin on. Still I find myself looking at the same ads that are listed in all searches. I've even tried to go off on my own but my wife had racked up my credit cards on me, for a total of 23k. Now I find myself between a rock and a hard place. I cant even secure a loan to start my own company. Dreams smashed again!!!! Well back to the drawing board.

I loved being given the opportunity to the working foreman overseeing the drywall finishers on the Taft College Library and Admin Bldg job. I had an excellent crew of five journeyman finishers and an awesome laborer. Together, we put out some of the highest quality level 5 smoothwall work I have been associated with behind the best framers and drywall hangers. Having family member that attended the college in years past gave me a certain kind of connection. Making sure that Schwebel Plastering maintained a great reputation gave me a sense of pride. Upper management was good to me. All in all, a great company to work for.

Worked manufacturing for 15yrs. As a Lead for 12 yrs. , I instructed personnel on priorities for the day to meet requirements for the next internal customer and to make sure our external customers received the product they purchased on time.

Switching from the cleaning dept to sheet metal dept

Really good company to work for, just need to train better. Example! I wasn't trained very well and learned by watching others who's been there .
