Looking to get back to working in a dr.s office.

I was laid off last October after working at a local hospital for 25 years. I worked as a home-based medical transcriptionist/editor I knew this job wouldn't last forever in today's ever changing technology but one is never prepared when it happens. I was offered a severance package and took it. While I was off, I ended up doing online school for Medical Billing and Coding. I finished the program right when my severance ended. A few weeks later I took my certification exam and passed. So, here I am a certified professional coder now applying for jobs and not hearing anything back. A lot of the medical coding jobs I am applying for requires experience but how is one supposed to get experience. I thought my 22 years' experience as a medical transcriptionist/editor could help, but nothing. I've been working since I was 16 years old and this down period is starting to get to me. I really want to get back in the workforce.

It is always my pleasure to help patients.

How can one start in medical billing and coding without a lot of experience?

Here's a kick in the face! The hospital I clerked for had to close its doors due to the lack of patients, the other hospital took ours over, I was asked if I wanted to transfer or be unemployed having a new baby coming naturally I transfer, less pay by still a paycheck arriving. Now for the love of god, being the transfer and others being hired in, new management were two men from the Morman church they made that quite well known god first was their motto, they had the mad desire to getting to know me better, and also learned me and my wife where expecting a baby. Those men one would think godly men called me into the office not for praising or a raise, oh hell no but after there two weeks there told me with smiles that I was going to be joining the ranks of the unemployed. OK so now where is this god when you need him? Being the upper management I was appauled by their letter of recommendation, the words they used you'd swear it had been written by a fourth grade student who was mentally impaired, needless to say my feelings of those "fellow dads" and church members not being hung up on denomination or religion left me thinking these jerks who upset my household church members or not are from the bowels of hell, so many thanks to the church for the additional stress, the loss of income, all the hard times that followed, and being forced into displacement of simply living, oh did I have some "choice" prayer requests for them all, keeping with my bible book teachings, "god created the heavens and earth and everything in and upon it, including those two good for nothing pricks that should have died before meeting me. When you go to screw your fellow person always remember a great many of us do wish you the worse than all the plagues in the last book of the bible. Y'all got a way of setting us off!

Probably something computer related as I enjoy working hands on much more.
