Hi, I am located between Bakersfield and Los Angeles California. My past expertise is in processing full in-house payroll for companies of over 1000 employees. I have worked with hourly, salary (both exempt and non-exempt) commissions, gratuities, tips, piece work, auto allowance, moving expenses, and so on, the list is endless. I also have just graduated from a diploma course in Medical Billing and Coding with a solid B Average. I am now trying to find employment in either Payroll or Medical Billing. My money has run out and my landlord is getting nervous and considering evicting me if I don't find something in the very near future. Can anyone help me with any good solid leads?

I was blessed for many years to be in a position of primarily a stay at home mom while my children were young. When they entered middle/high school I took a job as a receptionist which lead to a great position as a medical biller for five years. Then, I encountered some health problems and was pulled out of work for three years. I returned to the job market, but couldn't get back into to billing, so I found a job in a call center. Worked there for another five years until they closed after the recession. We were in a tough job market area and struggled with many part time low paid jobs before I decided to go back to school for Medical billing. Since then, we've relocated to another state because my husband got his dream job, and I've graduated college. I got great grades but I'm having difficulty finding a job. I've been submitting 3-4 resumes a weeks since December and have had three live interviews, but what Im being told they are "headed in a different direction" , "looking for someone more high energy" or just the vague "we have more interviews and we'll let you know". I have also noticed that when I submit applications and resumes, I'm often asked the year I graduated from high school, even though I provide my higher education information. Isn't that a form a age discrimination? Since you can't get a higher education without high school or GED and the average age for high school graduation is 18, this allows them to determine how old I am. What can I do? I'm over fifty, but I still have education costs, living costs etc and a lot of years left to work, but Im just not getting the job offers. It's been almost six months since I graduated and frankly, a job in fast food isn't going to help pay my expenses.

I am still looking for a receptionist/medical billing position for over three months. I have a background in medical billing and want to go into an office setting soon. I enjoy the work and still feel like due to my age (50) no one is taking me seriously.

I'm needing training in Medical Billing, Commercial Collection and up-to-date software. I'm willing to do an Internship just to get some experience. Do you offer Internship?
