It's been a long past 7 years, my husband is retired and has Copd, we have 3 daughters. Have been working 2 jobs for the longest with no avail trying to manage the bills, the girls needs. But I was just offered a job with an amazing company. Is the best Christmas present I could have asked for. The way for me to earn enough on one income to provide for my girls. Am so happy, only prayed for the opportunity to succeed and I would bust my tail through my efforts to do that. Finally, finally have that! Am ever so thankful. Small gains, and struggling for so long has finally put me in a position to succeed. Merry Christmas everyone!
I was at the end of a 12 hour shift yesterday and I was way past caring anymore. I felt good in the morning but the customers at our restaurant were BEYOND rude to all the servers pretty much all day. By the end of the day I was D-O-N-E.
It was my last table, and I pretty much just wanted to get out of there. I’m sure this old couple could see it all over my face. I took their order as quick as I could and tried not to sound grumpy. But I was sure my tip was being flushed down the drain (you’d be surprised at how big a difference being bright and bubbly can make).
But when I came back to the table after they left I found a $100 tip!! All they wrote on the check was “Merry Christmas!” I was blown away!! I can tell you I did NOT give them $100 service…
I guess some people still believe in the holiday spirit!
Anybody else encounter some holiday spirit this year?

My husband left us four years ago. It's been really hard since then on one income. But last night I went downtown with my two kids and we just soaked in the Christmas lights and music. We even splurged on some hot chocolate. It was so nice and it just reminded me that everying really is going to be ok. God is going to take care of us, no matter what. We have life, we have love; it's Christmas, and life is beautiful.
