Hi Jerimichael, That really depends on the companies you apply for and the work you put in. You can help the process move a little faster by doing follow up calls. Make sure to call the hiring manager/HR 1-2 days after you submit an application. You want to make sure they received it. Then call again in a week to see if you can set up a time to meet with the manager. They will appreciate the initiative you take with this.

I currently live in Mississippi and graduated this May with a B.S. degree in Forensic Science with a minor in Criminal Justice and General Science. I currently work in retail until a position becomes available for me. I've applied for crime lab positions to no avail. In November I took a test for a correctional officer position and passed, which means I'm on a waiting list and I have to basically wait on the hiring personnel to contact me for an interview. So right now, I'm a little discouraged. So if anyone could suggest to me any websites to go to, any advice to suggest or maybe job fairs to look at that would help me, I would gladly appreciate it!
