I pulled up and two guys I was picking up seemed like they were going to be fun from the get go. We started towards where I was taking them. I asked if they had a preference to what we listened to and gave them my phone to choose. One of the guys mentioned they frestyled for fun and asked if I would like to hear. The rest of the ride was so awesomely entertaining I really didn't want to drop them off and wish I could have had them been the entertainment for my other riders that night. I love meeting a diversity of people. This job is very nice. I enjoy every minute of it #MyDrives

I was driving Uber in Green Bay for the Wisconsin vs LSU game and I picked a group of six 20-something guys celebrating a bachelor party. I was driving them all to their hotel about 35 minutes away. They were a bit tipsey but all in a good/fun mood. The guy in the passenger seat next to me kept asking me if my minivan had Bluetooth (it doesn't) and all the guys were giving him a hard time. They certainly kept me entertained with that and all the silly questions they were asking me. #MyDrives

I had this lovely couple one morning. I went to the pick up location and out came two lovely older folks. They were carrying luggage so I quickly hopped out of the car to grab their luggage and open their doors for them. The older gentleman told me that was his job so he in turn opens my car door. I smiled and thanked him. I started the trip and noticed they were headed to the airport, so I had to ask where they were headed. The two of them were headed out to complete their bucket list. Super excited and interested I asked what kind of things were on their bucket list. The two went on and on with riding hot air balloons, sky diving, biking through trails, polar jumping in Antarctica! I was amazed- these two must have been in their 70s or 80s. I told them I envied their courage and they shared with me that they have been together for over 57 years- they worked their whole lives being careful and cautious. They are true soul mates and best friends and wanted to be outrageous while they still could. I told them about my husband and how we have been friends for 15 years and reconnected and timing was just right- and I was lucky enough to marry my best friend. The woman started to tear up and put her hand on my shoulder and told me to treasure every moment because you just don't know how many moments you have. I have never wanted one of my trips to never end, but this time I did. I wanted to chat longer but we pulled up to their destination. As I grabbed their luggage out of the car the older woman gave me a warm hug and I shook the older gentlemans hand. I wished them fun on their trip. I couldn't help but smile- all the way home- I walked into my house to see my lovely family and I just hugged them so close. I couldn't help remembering the tears in the woman's eyes and thinking something must be going on - but they had each other and now is the time to make memories with your loved ones. I took the rest of the day off to spend with my family. My husband, my daughter, and I went to the beach to enjoy the sun and the sand , but mostly each other and making our lifetime of memories. #MyDrives

My most memorable trip was taking a mother who was about to deliver her baby. It was my most cautious trip, I ever had. I couldn't believe how calm she was. It was no sense of urgency and rushing. She gently put her bag in my trunk and we all proceeded to the hospital. #MyDrives

Well I am new to Uber but it has been a great experience my first week. My most memorable ride was a couple days ago when I gave the Vice President of Black Pride St.Louis a ride home... I learned a lot about the organization and what they are trying to do in the community. I hope to have many more experiences like this as I continue a carrier with Uber. #MyDrives

As an Uber driver, I've had the opportunity to meet many different people from various parts of the city, to different states, and even from other countries. In my first month driving, I can remember meeting a couple who were visiting from Australia. They had never been to the city and were very friendly people. They were heading to a local shopping center to spend some time as a family. The whole drive there was a fun experience for me because I felt honored to talk about my city and get to know a little about this family from another country. We laughed, talked politics, and they even shared some pictures of their home in Australia with me when we arrived at their destination. I felt as if these people were my neighbors yet they live so far away. It was a memorable drive to remember! #MyDrives

One of the mornings I picked up at Gratz Park Inn I was introduced to a young woman who was in Lexington from London. Her and I had one of the best Uber drives I've had since I began driving. I shared information about Kentucky, she shared information with me about London. It was a really amazing way for the two of us to learn more about each other. #MyDrives

Thr ride was later on at night, around 8:00pm. I picked up a women that was very emotional. She wanted me to take her to get cigarettes and a couple other things at the store. She continuously told me that she was sad and told me many stories that were very traumatizing. I felt terrible for all the things she was going through so I gave her money for her ciggarets to hopefully lift her spirits a little. Also, I bought her a coffee and helped her bring her bags into her house. She gave me a hug and thanked me for giving her someone to talk to and also the little things I bought her as well. I can tell I made her night a whole lot better and the way she was talking she didn't seem emotional stable. That expiernce taught me that you should be kind and send love to those in need of some help, whether it be emotional of physcial. Little things do matter and I will never forget that I could have helped saved a life that night or just made someone happy even for a short amount of time. #MyDrives

I picked up a young lady from a doctor office to take her to the airport. We started talking and she was going to have to travel 20 hours to get home. She started crying and I asked her what was wrong. She found out she was losing her baby by miscarriage. I found myself in a difficult situation to try and talk her down a bit. By the time I got her to the airport, she had calmed down, but I told her to make sure a stewardess knows her situation and I asked her if I could pray for her and if I could give her a hug. I couldn't send her on a 20 hour flight without some human contact. I told her that she had someone in Kansas City thinking and praying for her. She told me that she felt like God had put her in my car that morning. I don't know what happened to her, but I hope my calm words and hug and a pray got her home safely. #MyDrives

Laughter is key to a healthy life. At no other job have I laughed as much as with Uber as a driver. I am thinking about noting the "quote of night" for now on... here is just one of so many: 5 little sorority girls all talking at once in an Asian language untill one gets a phone call and says loudly in English, "Grandma's drunk and can't stop farting?" What a gas!!! #MyDrives
