I am applying for jobs that meet my qualifications, but don't hear back. I have gotten one interview so far. The doctor was impressed with my Credentials and interview, but chose someone else. I did not have OR experience. I have had my CV reviewed by my professors and someone that specializes in writing CVs prior to graduating last year. How do I get more interviews and land a nurse practitioner?

I am currently looking for NP positions in my area and have been for several months. I'm getting so discouraged. I am working RN contract positions to maintain employment and skills. But I am so ready to start my new career. I really want a position in women's health and surgical nursing as an NP, as this is my passion and 90% of my RN experience, but this is a rare opportunity to find. Should I take any position I can find for the experience until I am offered the "dream job"? I don't know what managers would think about having experience but possibly leaving after a year or less or more depending on when the opportunity presents. I was told by an HR rep that with the fiscal year starting over soon, new budgets and positions will be approved and hopefully improve my chances for either. So ready to be off the floor and ready to start my new career!
