eager and new to this online applications

I filled out the on line application, iam currently in CA, but relocating to Port Saint Lucie in July/August and I would like to have a position with a good company when I arrive.

Would it be beneficial to personally hand in my resume to nearby companies rather than submit it online? The online application process is broken in my opinion. I’ve tried applying for all types of administrative support job levels, qualified and overqualified, with absolutely no success. I know the walk-in approach is loaded with ‘gatekeepers’ that prevent anyone looking for a job to have direct access to human resource rep or hiring manager but I think there's a greater chance my info will get to the appropriate manager if I leave my application at the reception area. Anyone have better results personally handing in their applications?

I had applied For a job online and submitted it , 10 minutes later i get an email from this company they sent me another form to fill out before I could be considered for this job it was called a Federal Work Opportunity Tax Credit they asked if I had been on any form of government or state assistance , I didn't even know that they could legally ask any of these questions since it didn't have anything to do with the job I applied for or my past employment so isn't it discrimination if you are turned down for a job because of this

I can not remember my password so the system is asking me 2 questions that I am certain I am answering correctly but I keep getting an error message saying one of my answers is incorrect. How can I send my resume do you have an email I can send it too

I've been applying for work On-Line to what's being posted. These people that are suppose to be hiring are not. I've applied to this establishment because I got it in my Inbox that they were looking for someone. I even went into the workplace I applied for & all I was told was to apply again. By that time I had already applied about 3 times. Then the girl tells me she has to go into the computer & look-up my application. I told her I left my resume here last time. Then after all that, she tells me she has my resume. What's the problem? Why can't we just fill-out applications like we used to in "the Olden Days?" Much easier.
