I am changing careers mid life (I'm 48). I finished a dual degree in my new field and now would like to be employed, in the field. However, I seem to be running into the you don't have enough experience wall. But, I can't get experience if no one hires me. I was not able to work while getting my degree as I unexpectedly ended up caring for my Active Duty Army son's preemie daughter. He was deployed and the mother abandoned her in the NICU. Now he has returned and I can go to work. Student loans are coming due and I'm about to panic!!! Any ideas?

reading these posts... has helped me to know that im not alone.. i had responded to Rob and he had responded back. if he sees this.. i wanted to let him know that i wanted to respond back but it wouldn't let me.. anyways... i've been calling places i have applied for.. giving them another number which i think will help.. Restaurants especially. i'm 45 years old and trying to get a job to take care of my 10 year old daughter.. my sister has been helping alot which im really grateful for.. but i miss working.. my last job i had was a hotel and that didnt work to well.. i couldn't get the beds made right... and that just has had me in a slump, to where i feel like i'm good enough... anyways, i'm trying to keep my head up above water

I'm seeking a career change, something stable with a retirement, and lucrative salary. I have several years of experience in customer service and management. I am 44 and I am having a hard time finding a great match. Any suggestions or can someone help.

HI there,I'm looking for camp attendant jobs,I can be in camp any amount of time.I can help in the kitchen also but my serve it right ticket has recently expired.I am interested in flagging also.I did flagging years ago in the north in Ft St John BC and am willing to get any tickets I may require.I would like a change from the typical cashier type job.ID like to find a career now not just a job.I have a strong reliable vehicle to get to any jobs,I am drug and alcohol free and have a spotless drivers abstract so I'll be able to drive a pilot car too.I'm 45 so I'm past the unreliable age.If it's a camp job I can fly into any province required in Canada. Thanks a bunch guys.My number is 780 603 9485 and am ready for work immediately. I have all safety gear needed, steel toed boots or shoes if it's warmer,my safety vest or shirt also.I will need a new helmet but that's OK. I can lift over 50 pounds and thrive in a challenging atmosphere.I've always loved the outdoors and helping out where needed,My class 5 hasn't one blemish on it if I'm needed in the oils and or driving anywhere else.I hope to hear from someone soon,I'm ready to go to work yesterday,Thanks for taking your time to read this. Just curious... You have 2 candidates for job(s) in Sales...A: College graduate 20-35 yrs. old minimal experience and has a Felony conviction. B: NON- Graduate,( but did attend college). No Felony conviction over 40yrs. old and VERY experienced. Who do you hire and why??

What is the best way to apply for a job, when it asks you for drivers license, but you have never had one? ( I am over 40 years old)
